Bolton looking like a complete psycho is bad enough but we have Mike Pompeo in agreement with Bolton supporting strikes on Iran over a goddamn drone and he's still the Secretary of State?

I think this is a good observation but there is a clear distinction between Pompeo and Bolton, who is clearly a psycho as you note.

Pompeo, a West Point grad, has more respect for the presidency and the country than Bolton. His views on military response/proportionality may have been shaped by 80's/90's Neocon warhawks, but overall I think he has been an asset for Trump.

He is an evil MF. I don't know how Trump was ever convinced to let this war hawk into his administration.

The same way he lets other people come in - they say nice things about him on Fox News and other RW media. He also gives strong consideration to their look, as if casting them in a reality TV show. In Bolton's case, I think the arse-kissing over-rode the walrus mustache.

The problem is that's who Bolton has been his entire life, so with Trump knowing (or his staff knowing) this why hire him to begin with?

Pompeo wrote Bolton a note that said Trump was full of shite. Neocons would want Nikki they won't get her. this country may be Seattle but the neocons will never be voted in again.

It's really astounding how the NWO leftists have embraced warfare. When I was a Democrat back in the 70's-80's being anti war/nation building was pretty high on our list of what made you a Democrat.

I was sitting in front of 12 Disney Attorneys. "Our Project Architect says you were late on every building." Fact versus fiction "If you turn to tab 13 section 4. Page one "Congratulations of turning Building One in on time and on schedule." Page two "Congratulations on turning building two in on time and on schedule." There have been 52 buildings to date ...I can do this 52 times. Do you really want to go into a court room while I have 52 Letters from your offices as fact?" Every head turned and looked at the Project Architect for Disney.
As a former contractor, impressive.

I've seen this passage and assuming it to be true I don't give it much thought.

In the worst light, who hasn't said their boss is FOS. In the best light, the ability to bullshite during negotiations against adversaries is an asset.

Bolton is likely taking a page from Schiff's playbook.

Getting the left to fall in love with Bolton might be the greatest troll that Trump ever pulled.

He is calling our CIC unstable because he hesitated to bomb another country and potentially kill civilians? Seriously?

This is the most fundamental of orthodoxies in Washington DC. It's why the Uniparty supported Clinton. It's why they'll support Biden. It's why the military higher-ups supported Clinton. It's why they'll support Biden. It's why the neocons are all Democrats now.

For all their yammering about Trump being a dictator and violating humanitarian norms, the DC swamp loves war and all of the death and destruction that comes with it. They don't give a rat's arse about the American boys coming home in caskets, or the hundreds of thousands of Middle Eastern civilians our government has murdered since 9/11.

The Biden supporters on this board are a collection of naive fools if they think his administration will somehow save the world. He'll do the bidding of the MIC and his other handlers, who want the United States to continue as the world's police so their benefactors can rake in the money.

anyone else have trouble believing that a guy who graduated first in his class from West Point, was an editor of the law journal at Harvard, made millions as a venture capitalist, served in Congresss, ran the CIA, and is now the country's top diplomat would commit sentiments against his boss in writing to a known loose cannon and nut job like Bolton?

seems sloppy for a guy like that.
