It's possible that this fraud is much more widespread and more resources might be helpful.
It's also possible that being expected to actually investigate widespread fraud is the reason for the mass departures.
Since we're just throwing out possibilities this evening.

Sure. There are any number of possibilities that could be good or bad. When I see things that seem to be anomalies I think they're worth a look.

It is not alarming, it is good riddance.

Good. The Garland DOJ was abhorrent, and it has been past time for some new blood. Not to mention there are some agencies within the DoJ that are totally unconstitutional.

Seems like the start of a joke, like what do you call 5500 lawyers in a bus going off a cliff……

As of early 2026, reports indicate that over 6,400 employees, including many experienced attorneys and staff, have left the Department of Justice (DOJ) since President Trump took office, with some, including over 200 in certain divisions, reportedly pushed out due to political, ideological, or specific case-related reasons.
Significant Departures: The Justice Connection network estimates more than 6,400 employees have left the DOJ, which had a total staff of approximately 108,000 at the end of 2025.
Targeted Exits: Reports indicate more than 230 lawyers and agents were fired or resigned in 2025, with many citing political pressure or disagreements with the new administration's direction, including in the Civil Rights Division.
Not disturbing.

It could be a leading indicator that things are about to get fricked, and not in a good way. It is estimated that somewhere between 5500 and 6400 employees have left the DOJ since Trump took office. Many have cited that they don't feel like they are able to keep their oath and are pressured into loyalty over true justice This is concerning whether or not you realize it

How many more dirty apples need to go?

My research says that 70% were in the Civil Rights Division. Good. Less social justice warriors manufacturing racism where it doesn't exist. Bye.

they don't feel like they are able to keep their oath
In fact it was their very intent NOT to keep their oath that leaves them the choice to depart on their own accord, or get their butts kicked out. The same group was "the resistance" during T-45. This time around Trump is having none of it.

ICE is getting a lot more recruits.
It's all good.

Did they cry when Trump arrived like the people at the white house did?
I hope so.

What's concerning is your subjective post with zero backup of your claim.

Yeah - the democrats are pretty insistent on party over public. they are only active with an interpretation that can be used to harm conservatives.

5500 and 6400 employees have left the DOJ since Trump
that's not enough = there are still far too many democrat activists in there.
IF we could get ALL of the dem fanatics out, we might get down to the real business of investigating and convicted the corruption ingrained there over the past three decades.
damn the torpedoes = full speed ahead !!!

sounds consistent with their actions since Obama - kick them all out.
There should not be one minute of 'civil rights' emphasis in the DOJ until ALL the corruption wrt these phony NGOs is rooted out and jailed.
PLUS attention to all the SEDITION the DOJ has played a part in over the past decade. I want these asshats in JAIL.
