A civil (hopefully) discussion about why a person would vote democrat.

I fully understand that some people hate Trump’s persona, and - while I think it’s silly - I’ll concede this as a legit reason to want him out of the white house.
I will also concede ‘free stuff’ as a legitimate reason for voting democrat. Dems have promised more impossible benefits than Republicans for years.
Other than these 2 reasons, why would a person punch their ballot for the donkeys?
The willingness to vote away one of the greatest economic periods in mankind’s history over petty personality issues and/or because someone promised ‘rainbow stew’ seems ridiculously crazy to me. I would love to fully understand this reasoning.

because the republican president is more dangerous than the alternative?
i say this even though the far left is out of touch with reality.
if trump would stop lying and dividing I would not vote dem even tho trump is a buffoon.

Ignorance and gullibility.
What else could it be?

I’m going to provide honest answers from my experiences:
- one hates their physical appearance
- jealousy of others physical appearance and/or wealth
- no wealth, and not the cognitive ability to acquire wealth
- indoctrination from higher education and a feeling of superiority over those from less affluent areas
- from an area that is homogeneous like Vermont where there is no influence from other cultures or tax burdens and everyone pays into the system, and no experience living in a place like Mississippi
- not having what your neighbors have because you think you have been discriminated against, or not have had access to the same opportunities
- racist against Caucasian and Asians
Those are my thoughts, I’m sure there are a few more out there.

I won’t. It’s a shallow and self-defeating excuse not to vote for an effective, successful president.

Starting to think you don’t understand the meaning of “legitimate.” That is a self-serving, and ultimately self-defeating reason, that can only result in collapse, once you run out of other people’s money.

Obviously because they care not about this country, it’s institutions, and the people who do the work to provide the highest standard of living in the world for the most people. It’s all about them, and what they can milk the producers to provide for them.

Trump’s a nationalist and puts America and Americans first.
Many Dems disagree, they do not believe in America first and thus they’d vote against Trump for that reason.
Then there are the Dems that put political power first. Since they can’t control Trump these folks would vote and support anyone but Trump.

Calling trump “divisive” is a bullshite talking point. He won and he fights and leftists cannot stand being challenged.
Calling him a “buffoon” says more about you than him.

The political parties are just cultural tribes at this point. There are plenty of normal, middle class white people who vote democrat because that's just what decent people do in the northeast and california and other blue areas. They have the worst stereotypes in their mind when they think of republicans just like we think democrats are all politically correct tranny communist rabble rousers. The only places where there is truly a competition of ideas are the purple areas where there really is overlap in the party identification.
