I tried to not jump into this Covington-style but the two USWNT members that didn’t face the flag also didn’t applaud afterwards. The cynical part of me thinks they saw the backlash during the game and decided to do some damage control following the game.

Like I said earlier, a super majority of the time the line of players face forward during the anthem. One of the few times I've ever seen a team face a different direction during the playing.

Nope. That's not what they suggested at all.
They knew who faced the flag and who did not. Who is turned away from it.
I wonder what evolutionary benefit this type of psychology serves. It could be that you are innately too fragile to handle this level of shame (which isn't much). It might be a defense mechanism to keep you from emotionally self-destructing and throwing yourself from a high place.

Exactly.Id like to see or hear what the 2 girls have to say.Ive heard nothing yet and they were also the only 2 who didn't applaud but I hate to validate any of JDOC drama queen posts.

While there is still time why not get this gentleman to play for upcoming SEC games? It would be much more appreciated and deserved than a women's soccer trial - and a sport that has already cried wolf.

Have you ever played a sport where the anthem was played ? If so you ALL face the same direction. Period
Also, I have not seen one photo showing a flag in that direction. If you have that photo please post it. Otherwise simply another journalistic lie. Simple fact it is disrespectful to turn away from the veteran playing the anthem. It further hurts your case when they are known for their disrespect for this country

The girls that turned, turned towards the goals where the flag was waving.
The other two remained facing forward to where the vet was on the sideline at mid-field.
2 days after the Gateway Pundit misled everyone people are no longer claiming the team “turned their back” on anything.

I asked Jjdoc for 4 pages to tell me which group of girls he was mad at.
He intentionally wouldn’t answer. You know why? He didn’t know or care.
