Chavez FULLY understood what many black democrats don't even realize... that illegal immigration hurts the working poor, and thus in many areas that is poor blacks, more than any other class, by depressing wages.

Maybe so. But she grew up and is intellectually sound, has Ivy League aspirations and is a good kid.

There was yet another route, give your child the information and allow them to write the book report themselves. That was the goal of the assignment after all, but you were too blinded by you're own biases to give your daughter a teachable moment. Sad.

I don't know what I would do if I had kids in school nowadays. I remember one of my reports was Eli Whitney inventor of the cotton gin. I guess that would be racist today.

Yes. I gave her the sources. Gave her important facts and helped her outline the paper.

Great idea...burden 9 year old with 2 separate classes, one of revisionist history and dated pop science and the other trying to unbrainwash the political bents of a teacher who thinks those are of importance to a 9 year olds personal growth.
