According to Facebook or Apple or CGI or Open Society, or yourself. I don’t care judge the personal benefit vs cost of your own household then answer pool.

For some obtruse reason people respond to those questionnaires or polls or whatever stat-gathering enterprise you are referencing. I am assuming it’s cause they have a lot of free time.

The number of people here agreeing with a BS story from globalist Common Dreams is scary

Free medicine looks good when you’re young and broke but accepting free stuff keeps you in poverty. Just ask welfare recipients

If it is inevitable, let's make sure that a private system alongside is still allowed to be legal.

At least we will have one good quality system to use with no waiting lines.

Washington Post-Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF) poll

Do you support or oppose having a national health plan—or a single-payer plan—in which all Americans would get their insurance from a single government plan?

Misleading question is misleading.

It gives the appearance that the healthcare delivery system will remain private, and that only the insurance plan that compensates it would be from the government. That is NOT a nationalized/single payer system (See UK's NHS).

Hell. I suspect half the people who heard that question still assumed they'd have to pay for the policy

I laugh at this stuff because the vast majority of Americans and basically all liberals think that when someone talks about single-payer healthcare it means you're going to get the American Healthcare System only free.

People are stupid fricks.

Hell yes. we'll be under socialized medicine in less than 20 years.

In the context used in this statement we have had socialized medicine in the US for at least 70 years.....through what is arguably the best period in the histaory of mankind for the middle class.

Again one has to ask.....who is currently paying for the uninsured and the underinsured? Certainly not providers......they can’t....economic law will not allow it. The only person left to pay for the uninsured and the underinsured is the paying customer....there is not a difference in this than there is shoplifting.....the paying customer makes up for the non paying one.

I know it is the dream of conservatives to live in a society where the uninsured and the underinsured are allowed to live with the consequences of their decision to be uninsured or underinsured. Unfortunately it doesn’t exist for 2 reasons....the first reason is the decision to not have insurance is easy to make until you get sick....then suddenly you change your m8nd and seek treatment even if it means you have to steal it. This fact coupled with the fact that providers will treat sick people without the ability to pay because providers are decent humans who can’t turn a sick person away means the paying customer is going to foot the bill for the non paying customer....and the way we do it today we also foot the bill for collection efforts. It would be much more cost effective to simply provide universal health care....those of us who pay for health care are already doing this because paying customers always pay for non paying customers. The only way to stop it is to make it a crime for a provider to not get paid up front.

I have brand name private healthcare and am a small business owner, and no one in my family has ever spent a night in the hospital until last year in which my family had two major health events. My insurance company failed to cover the vast majority of our medical expenses, hospitals overcharged wildly, and I was forced to pay over $175,000 of our of pocket medical expenses. I had money in the he bank, but have drained a great deal of my life’s savings with 2 major illnesses and treatments. Our healthcare system is broken, and the statement, “ we are one bad diognois away from financial ruination” is true. We need single payer healthcare for all. I am not a left winger, just an average citizen bludgened by our failed healthcare system.

85% of Americans are fine with their personal health care situation

you're so pathetic to throw out percentages like that. Then again, look at all the likes!

Do you understand that everyone's personal health care situation is changing before our eyes? Nearly every corporation has abandoned the "Cadillac" plans with co-payments. Even the plans that still exist (in large benefit groups) have stipulations that are subject to a deductible.

The point is that the corporate healthcare companies have responded to regulations. They too are putting more responsibility on the customer.

So, what happens at this point with no more changes? Since very little of America even saves money (whether or not they can or not is irrelevant), until Americans can contribute enough money to their HSA accounts (that will take years), no one will have money to go to the doctor. Or, they'll have to charge it to a credit card...creating debt TO GO TO THE frickING DOCTOR!

I understand why healthcare corporations exist in a free market country, but I truly don't understand how or why ANY American can say that healthcare in America is "fine".

Breaking News: Nothing is free

Instead of paying $3,000 a month in insurance premiums people will pay $4,000 a month in increased taxes when the cost of governement running healthcare is actually less efficient and has to be fair for all.

No one can name a single sector where government is more efficient
