Listen, I just want a conservative to get the nomination and win the general election. No fricking Romney or McCain.
I want the candidate that gives us the best chance to win, and I think that candidate is DeSantis.
I agree 100%. I think DeSantis gives the opportunity for a real conservative to win. Trump is not a conservative. I believe DeSantis would be the first Republican to take on National Debt... something Trump could care less about.
I think there is also the possibility for a Conservative as VP... setting up a 2nd future Conservative. If people don't get on board with this ... the country is doomed. Deficits and National Debt do matter.

He will lose Bigly and if he doesn’t shut up he will seal the midterms for the prog filth that are destroying this country

I would rather see DeSantis make it, but if Trump is the candidate, I'll still vote for him.

But will McConnel still be in the Senate in 2024?
Who would be the next Senate Majority leader to approve appointments? Who will be on the Senate Intel Committee by then?
That is where the focus should also be.
It will be a very different Congress by 2024.
Interesting topic ... who do you think will be majority leader in 2024?

DJT is my ideal choice to be president, but IMO not the best choice for a candidate to beat the cheaters. I'm hoping DeSantis will run and get the nomination. Would love to see DJT get a seat in the house, and be the next speaker.

I won’t vote for anyone other than Trump. The election was stolen from him and 90% of elected “Republicans” did Jack shite. Let it all burn. I’m ready. Are you?
Dude... Georgia non DEMs stayed home and guess what? ... it is all burning now.
Trump could care less about you. You pick Trump over country?

It's not the Republican voters that are the problem.
It's the independents.

You actually think Trump will shut up?
But you are absolutely right. If he runs again, he will lose again. And the more he talks, the more it helps his opponents.

Fixed.
Thanks ladies for bringing us all down.

Won’t there be a primary?
Won’t the results of the primaries determine who is the candidate?

This is where I am.
I do admit, I love how Trump makes the dems melt down daily. However, I also understand that there are those in the middle who do not share the same enthusiasm that would vote for DeSantis while not voting Trump.

I don't know why people just ignore the fact he will be 78. Not saying he will be in the same state as Potato, but it is a risk. Reagan noticeably slowed as well.[/quote]
I agree with this. I like Trump, but he’s too old. I was fine with him being president now, but starting another term in 2024? I agree, it’s too risky. I believe he can help the movement to reform the Republican Party much more outside of the White House.

Desantis will be smeared and demonized 24/7 in the press. If he attempts to attack the globalist machine here in America in any way (which if he doesn’t, he’s useless) the intelligence agencies will be all over him and his family just like they were with Trump. Can he fight that? Trump’s brash persona was a major factor in his weathering two impeachments, countless fabricated smears and he still likely won the election,
I’d like to drink the Desantis kool-aid, but I’ve seen it too many times before with Bush, W, Rick Perry, Jindahl, Haley, Paul Ryan, Rubio…
Career politicians are not going to fight DC, and if they’re not going to fight DC then they’re not worth voting for.

DeSantis is the only governor taking the fight to DC.
I think he'd do the same in WH.

Trump won two times. Trump pulls 100k people at a rally in the middle of nowhere during a thunderstorm. The polls are put out to sow discord. Trump will win if he runs again.
Passion is irrelevant. No doubt Trump supporters have passion. They just don't have numbers.
1,000,000 people who would casually push a button to see Biden elected are worth more than 999,999 who would cut a leg off and eat it raw to send Trump back to the Oval.

They must have polled the staff at National Review.
For my bet, I'd love to see Trump/DeSantis in 2024 and then 8 more years of DeSantis for a 12 year sweep of the demprogs.

GOP pollster and trump only gets 51% ... think about what is going on ... it should be 60+%.
There's no such thing.
Look a polls from Rasmussen last year. 51% would end up a slaughter at the polls.
P.s. I would rather trump take a back seat and support a good candidate.

If in fact Trump won in 2020, then it's high time he takes responsibility for an America which is presently F-U-B-A-R.
