I don't think that's the best way to look at it.
Murkowski has held that seat for 20 years, she has name recognition and that plays a strong part for low-information voters.
She won the primary by nearly 5 points. The third-place finisher was FAR behind but drew 6.2% of the vote.
Totaling the Democrat votes comes out for 12,735 or 8-ish% of the total vote. You can bet those will not go to a Trump-backed candidate, they will either go to Murkowski or they'll stay home.
If Murkowski just splits the remaining GOP votes and gets half of the Dem votes, she wins (going off the primary voting results).
As I said in another thread, this doesn't mean Kelly has no chance, it just means she needs to be pounding the pavement to shake hands and kiss babies every day and needs Trump to show up at least twice (one being as close to Election Day as possible).
It will be interesting to see who Murkowski gets to stump for her. I hope she tries to pull a Liz and urges Democrats to vote for her and I hope it backfires every bit as much.

Just Damn! That pic is enough reason to vote her out.
Man I thought Mulkey was wrinkled up without makeup but Murk has her beat by a mile.

You guys are such a negative force, dont assume all democrats will automatically roll into murks camp. If, if, they go to vote they might just as well chose the lesser of two evils and vote for her opponent. And the further this nonsense unfolds with MAL the more you want to distance yourself from someone like murk who Im surprised has not come out in favor of it.

I think Murk holds on, but her showing is anything but a positive for her camp.

I’m trying to be positive here and illustrate that Murk is vulnerable.
It will take a complete effort though to pry her decrepit old arse out of that Senate seat.
