Dude left office with about 80% of dems thinking him guilty of war crimes.

Dude left office with a 27% approval rating. Amazing that in less than a decade, he is now beloved.

Democrats will demonize anyone who is a political threat. Somehow they turned Romney into the devil. Bush is no longer a threat.

Time is generally very kind to the office of the President. Very few leaders hated during their term(s) are still hated decades later. Only a select few (really only Jimmy Carter and Richard Nixon from the entire 20th century) are still thought poorly of by the majority.

A lot of people still really hate Herbert Hoover. Personally I like the guy.

His rating went way up when he went after Trump . The democrats would have a approval rating of anyone that insults Trump.

Bush sucked no doubt, but let’s not forget Carter, Ford, Nixon, and Johnson.

GW Bush was a good, moral man.

Quite unlike the jackass occupying the Oval Office now

A majority of Americans in 2018 have no idea who Herbert Hoover was.

Time is generally favorable to a President if he just goes away which W pretty much has.

bro Bush was seen as a legit WAR CRIMINAL by the left during his time in office

i know hyperbole from the left is forgotten when it's not necessary, but you're talking about 2 very different levels of perceived evil

I'd drink a beer with him.

Seems like there is one of these clueless posts in every thread.

What makes you think W was a democrat?

its just like how the media fawned over Romney in this last cycle when 4 years prior he was a sexist who wanted 49% of the country dead. The problem is when the dumbasses (him mccain flake etc) fail to see they are being used. It happens every single time.Hell they thought theyd use Trump that way early in the primary to take out candidates they were worried about like Rubio. Just look at Morning Joe. They couldnt get enough till he wrapped up the nomination and then it turned on a dime.

They just underestimated the very stable genius.

ETA it does seem though that W has largely understood this and resisted the urge to go on eevery program to bash trump and "rectify his name" out of convenience .

Dems believe in nation building and foreign policy intervention now. Their party nominated a neocon in Hillary Clinton and they wanted war in Libya and Syria. Hell all of the neocons in the Bush administration supported Hillary.

yeah Romney is a really good canary in this mine

getting leftists to admit he was treated completely unfairly is all but impossible, even though they suck him off when he criticizes Trump
