The fact is that Trump has been consistent about Iran, even when he was a private citizen
False, he wasn't saying the same things just a few years ago and certainly not during the election.
Stop trying to gaslight people.

Yep. He's been pretty consistent on all his policies and plans. Anyone saying "I didn't vote for this", Yes the f#$k you did!! Probably for the first time in your voting life.

“We are finally putting America First. Our policy of war regime change and nation-building is being replaced by the pursuit of American interests… It is the job of our military to protect our security, not to be the policemen of the world.”
Unless it benefits Israel and Saudi Arabia.

How did our military actions in Venezuela benefit Israel or Saudi Arabia?

He never said military action was off the table - never
He did say he would not engage in “forever wars”
He also said that they would never get a nuke
He also has always maintained that ANY option is on the table
I’m sorry that your pissy hurst
It’s laughable that you say that I’m gaslighting when that is clearly what you are doing

It’s like that little red siren emoji is a flawless guarantee that you’re about to be exposed to some really stupid shite.

We were not actively at war with Iran in the sense that they were directly attacking us. Have they tried to undermine our interests in the region? Sure. I don't think anyone questions that.
Next time someone asks you to go back to 2023, just ask them to go back to 2018.

At least go back to 1953 if you're going to do that.

How about spitting facts about how your Presidents Obama and Biden gave Iran hundreds of billions of dollars to build up their nuclear, missile and drone operation because they hate Israel?
And the 2028 Dem POTUS will do the same thing, and Iran will have a nuclear arsenal anyway, because that's the only thing that can protect them from the US and Israel.

I doubt that.

Damn. It’s just kinda hard to fathom that. Essentially making the argument that the only terrorist organization in this situation is the United States.
Posted on 4/2/26 at 8:31 pm to davyjones
Terrorist? No.
Meddlers with other nations sovereignty? Yes.
How many countries in the ME and near-ME have we destroyed since WW2?
Why is it a surprise that more and more countries regard the US as a rabid dog?
BRICS will gain more countries, and more countries will abandon the petro dollar.
It seems that the US solution is toppling governments and hoping a more US-friendly regime replaces it. This was Bush's platform, then it was Obama's, and now it's Trump's.

It's the same shite that's been going on for the past 40 years. Neocon bullshite with the same excuses as always.
And chicken littles like you get scared at the tiniest thing and think you're big and bad by sacrificing the lives of others.
Neocons lose elections and lead to people like Clinton and Obama. Congrats, you've played yourself.
Posted on 4/3/26 at 12:52 am to gon33
Well if neocons lose elections, and Trump’s a neocon according to you, then exactly how did that neocon bust out in the last Presidential election? Nationwide, far exceeding expectations.

Because he didn't run as a neocon. He ran as America First, not as a globalist neocon. Neocons were never Trumpers during the election, now they think he's great.
Same as GWB in 2000. "No nation building" was his platform. He managed to win in 2004 and that lead to Obama.
Posted on 4/3/26 at 1:15 am to gon33
Does one actually “run as a neocon?” I don’t guess I’ve ever really noticed any major party candidate openly running on a “neocon platform”. Seems to me, regardless what one may “run as,” you’re either a “neocon” or you’re not. So basically, none of that appears to be adding up.

What is laughable in this scenario is Trump’s legion of fanboys now claiming that Trump initiating yet another Middle Eastern war is not a breach of one Trump’s campaign promises.
I don’t know which I find more disturbing: that they will blatantly lie to defend Trump or that they are delusional enough to genuinely believe it is true?

Your weakness is beyond pathetic
I don't agree with everything Bunk says, and I think he's gone a little off the reservation.
But in this case, he's just pointing out a documented and well-put-together presentation of the inconsistencies. I think in this case, it's probably more "the messenger" than the message itself, with BM's recent trends.
People and opinions do change over time though, this is well known. Even Trump. I'm sure his perspective saw multiple new parallaxes emerge with the inside knowledge he gleaned from being President, and from no shortage of having Israel in his ear.
