Absolutely not. In the military, advancement to O-3 (aka Captain in the Army) is automatic after four years of service. You spend two years as an O-1 and two years as an O-2. Once you make O-3 your name goes in front of a promotion board to advance further in rank.

I can only hope that we quit thinking of ourselves as superior to mother nature. Judge me if you want, but I'd prefer a male pilot, surgeon, manager, engineer, soldier and so much more. If it requires physical fitness, coordination and/or a suppression of emotion to be successful, that's what I want.
I don't even feel safe in the car with women drivers. At 40 years old, it's an extremely consistent observation from when I was 17. I can close my eyes and tell you if it's a male friend or female driving. Hell, Kamala Harris made an actual run at the presidency because of this demographic. What's worse? The ones less than 40, hate males.

What are you going off about?
The military said she was the pilot ("The Black Hawk helicopter was conducting a training flight for a female pilot"). The other person in the front seat was her observer ("Eaves was the instructor pilot on the flight").
I've never been evaluated where the observer was in control of any of my duties. I was corrected verbally at the time, or in written form following the exercise. No reason to conclude that her training flight was any different
And as to her DEI checklist resume
1) female
2) was a "partner"
3) well-connected to the DIM machine
4) known supporter of LGBT+ causes
5) victims advocate

Do you think he was referring to the female pilot when he made his early DEI remarks? I don't. Sounded to me like the context was ATC and the rest was just very general "DEI ruins everything" stuff.
