We don’t know but the rabbit hole is even deeper, every state agency or reciprocal/derivative of SS used that database to verify if the recipient was alive…we will never know unless we go state by state, agency by agency.
To claim out of 3.2M there was absolute zero fraud at the federal level is insane…to throw it down to the state level and claim the same is downright moronic.

Actually we do. This was settled last month during the “150 year olds are receiving SS” lie. The system doesn’t allow for anyone to receive disbursements after 115. This is simply cleaning up the rolls which is a good thing but no money was saved because no money was going out. Not sure why this triggers MAGA people on here?

I’ll ask again why MAGA gets so upset about stuff like this? Anytime things like voter rolls or SS rolls are cleaned up is a huge win even if it doesn’t save any money.

I seen the other day that they made it to where if social security beneficiaries change their direct deposit information, they have to come to the office with identification and the information. That's a start

That’s the problem. No one understands COBOL. It’s antiquated and should have been replaced decades ago but for government incompetence. As for the DOGE “nerds”, I suspect they’re using AI to interpret and correct the old data.
Fascinates me that people like you exist that would rather have the government continue to waste people’s money than acknowledge Musk is actually trying to help.

A lot of people know COBOL. It's also really fricking easy to read.

Just because it’s used doesn’t mean it should be moving forward. It’s 60 years old and no, a lot of people don’t know it. It hasn’t been taught in years.
