Have they given a reason as to why they're demanding this info?
They want to embarrass Trump. In New York they want to use the bank records thing to see if he or someone from the Trump Org was puffing up the net worth, etc so they can manufacture bank fraud charges.....there is no evidence of a crime....they want to go fishing /hunting and see if there are any "irregularities". But they just want to do it to embarrass him.
There is no piece of pending legislation that would warrant the need for these requests....the law though is clear...Congress can subpoena anyone's tax returns and no reason has to be given.....no expectation of privacy
That's scary especially the fact that the head of the Ways and Means Committee can get your taxes for shits and giggles and then release the info to the public at large.
This law needs to be repealed and I don't care if its Democrat or Republican that does it. Your tax returns are your business and maybe the IRS but they have to keep it quiet unless they bring charges, but they are doing it legally.....this is gratuitous and abusive

Funny thing is that they don’t seem to recognize the precedent they’re setting.
If they can do this to POTUS, who is safe?

You can carry on pruning, and screwing up historic quotes.

Doesn’t matter. He’s not turning over shite until maybe a SC ruling says so

New York State about to release those tax returns.
I’m interested to see why he has back peddled releasing his returns.
A person who is hiding or “covering-up” something would do this.. :

Then post yours on here for us to see.
If you don’t it will be for the same reason Trump doesn’t want to.

Add it to the list of miscalculations by Dems that will backfire, this one for years and years to come.
IMO Trump's responses to these various subpoenas (executive privilege, no legit basis for returns, etc) are primarily for the purpose of avoiding these dangerous precedents FOR THE BENEFIT OF FUTURE PRESIDENTS, DEMS INCLUDED. Not exercising privileges is basically tantamount to waiving them, and not appealing these court rulings on tax info is waiver also. Terrible precedents that would be abused in the future, no doubt about it.
He doesn't strike me as a man overly concerned with what may come out with any of this. IRS audits would have caught illegal activity already. Dems have let the cat out of the bag on their strategy to embarrass and smear, so nothing new or shocking there. Nope, his primary goal is to protect future Presidents' rights and protections. What a terrible guy.

Don’t worry. Q said they will DECLAS June 2018. It’s coming right after the May 2018 OIG Unredacted Report.

What happens if the Supreme Court rules Congress has this oversight power?

Then, Congress has this oversight power.
Is this a trick question?

Would you have a problem if he ignored the subpoena then?
Posted on 5/22/19 at 5:30 pm to cajunangelle
This is going to backfire on the Dems so hard.
