Well, somewhat valid.
But selling the war to America, at any stage, was never going garner enough support anyway.

If this was such a big concern, I'm shocked you voted for the guy who said he'd keep us out of foreign wars, and not Kamala who this board assured me would have us invading Iran almost immediately.
Trump is doing the very things - War, high gasoline prices, high grocery prices, inflation, wasteful spending that he told us Kamala would do and MAGA is defending it all with ridiculous tropes and excuses

But it’s worth it! For some reason that has yet to be revealed to anyone

Iran admitted it. Stop playing dumb.

Maybe because that was taken care of in 2025.

Good the stock market covers it

Because they didnt have nukes, remember this same administration said they took care of that months ago.
Seriously I wish you all would just look at whats going on and analyze it based off how you would have felt about all of this “pre trump” you all are in a fricking cult and you’re damaging the world.

Different administrations are treated differently, you're shocked? Why don't you tell the class why America sunk their navy, destroyed their airforce, destroyed their drone/missile stockpiles and production, etc. if not for Iran trying to develop nuclear weapons?

The bitching about gas prices is a great example of why major DOGE gutting would be political suicide - Americans have very little economic pain tolerance.

Why would one assume that?
Because those are the people that put America second. The people that supported Ukraine, don’t want borders for America but are worried about the Ukrainian border. They look at the price of fuel as a way to get Trump instead of realizing that Trump is trying to end a war that has been going on for 47 years and all presidential candidates vowed to not let Iran get a nuclear weapon. They are short sighted. One side is America first the other side is supporting anything that is against America first agenda. High fuel prices is a small problem to deal with until Iran folds verses them having a nuclear weapon and dealing with them firing it at American citizens. Then it’s why didn’t Trump stop it.

Is there a difference between international shooting yourself in the foot and getting shot for doing the right and necessary thing?

Ok, if that's what you want, but it does make us look like "the baddies" when we keep acting because we were spooked on some sort of WMD.
I really couldn't give a frick about what other countries think. They all hate the US anyway and will say we're "the baddies" no matter what we do. So might as well do what makes sense without regard for any of that.
quote:
Not aware of what Australia said.
Austria, not Austrailia.
quote:
Do know what the EU, tUSA, tUK and pretty much every other 1st world country, with reliable intellegence agencies said
O.k. So? Doesn't that just prove what I said? Austria intel is that they were not just sitting around with the shotgun and shells, but that they were loading them. That they were actively working on weapons.
You choose to not believe Israel or Austrian (or your own POTUS) intel, but you believe the EU instead.
Isn't that what I said? That nobody really knows?
You disregard your own POTUS in favor of the EU. Because you had already accepted this Huckster Carlson sissy isolationism conclusion...that any time anybody intervenes militarily, it's a scam. You said so yourself in your last post.
You can hold whatever opinion want, as, like I have said, nobody really knows. But don't act like you're deciding based on evidence. You're making that determination because you had already accepted the conclusion and because you're an admitted troll.
You say this:
quote:
I am not much into conspiracy theories.
Then you say this:
quote:
They finally had to push Japan into attacking us, knew it was coming, and made zero attempts to stop it, just to get us in.
Which might be the longest running conspiracy theory in America and has been debunked dozens if not hundreds of times.
More trolling?
quote:
Why is globalism the big baddie when others do it but fine for us?
quote:
Why can we sponsor terror across the globe, but others cannot?
Because foreign policy isn't about "being fair." That's childish. It's about survival and benefitting your own people.
quote:
You think it is because we are benevolent?
If you think American hegemony is NOT orders of magnitude more benevolent than Chinese hegemony or Russian hegemony or anyone else in the world who currently has the opportunity to enforce it, then I'll have to assume that this is more trolling. Anybody who thought that for real would be too dumb to engage on the subject.
And the point of the scorecard is that if we do not engage in hegemony, someone else always will.
quote:
Wasn't this what we did in 2025?
Obviously not.
quote:
what we did last year proved very popular
Yeah, but what if the person with all the information on this situation is genuinely worried about stopping nuclear war, not "being popular?" What then? And what makes you so sure that you, with exactly zero access to any classified information, can determine that that is not the case?
That's what amazes me. That anybody in our position can think they actually know what Iran had or didn't have or were doing or not doing. It's an extremely arrogant position to take.
What's your theory on why Trump is doing this if it has nothing to do with nuclear capability? Are you one of the, "The Joos made him do it," people?
quote:
That would be Iran's destruction.
No dude, it would be the world's destruction. Have any of y'all looked up what would be most likely to happen if they exchanged nuclear weapons?
At a minimum there would be the biggest health/humanitarian crisis the world has ever seen, the global economy would collapse, and the ability to grow food in a huge portion of the world would be destroyed for years upon years, causing a worldwide famine. What I looked up estimated a billion people dying as a result.
Why would anybody with two working brain cells to rub together risk that?
Because the EU isn't worried?
And you can type all day about Iran not having the capability to deliver those bombs, but two things about that:
1. That's technology that they can buy. Or if China wants to be disruptive enough, they can give it to them. "But China wouldn't be willing to cause all that destruction." Wouldn't they? They directly caused around 50 million deaths of their own people last century in only four years. And this is where the benevolence equivalence nonsense comes in. When was the last time the US caused the death of 50,000,000 American citizens purely for the sake of political ideology?
You can yell "Vietnam," and I would say that's exactly what I said. We're orders of magnitude more benevolent, since I think the official number of casualties from Vietnam is around 50,000. In this case we're exactly three orders of magnitude more benevolent.
2. Americans do not understand the mentality of militant, fundamentalist Islamic Arabs. And the bigger problem is that Americans don't realize how much they don't understand it.
Iran is so determined to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth that if they had to they would roll a nuke (if they ever got one) up to the Capital steps in Jerusalem on a cart drawn by a donkey and stand there and pound it with a ball peen hammer to try to detonate it if they had to.
Look at everything they are enduring right now. Almost nobody here can fathom that kind of commitment.
If they have the hard part (the nuclear material), they'll come up with a solution for the easy part (the delivery system). Sooner or later.

Are you saying my government is lying in the report I linked?
I'm saying a report based on bad information can and usually is wrong. The IAEA has never had full unfettered access to open inspections of all Iranian locations. So what is it based on?
Or they are lying...us and them.
