Yeah wait a second. They are claiming that sleeping with a student not from your school still qualifies as a crime? Exactly how wide does that dispersal go? Can she not sleep with any 18 year olds in her school district? In her state? What an absurd story

True story. I knew an old retired Principal from Haughton HS. He told me about the time he went into the coaches office inside the boys gym after school was out.
He encountered a 23 year old male coach kissing an 18 year old female student. He confronted the male coach.
The female student extended her hand and said 'We're getting married. This is the engagement ring.'
The principal said that the couple has now been married for 30 years. Some stories have happy endings.

I find it terribly ironic that when these laws were passed, the non-spoken intent was to protect young ladies from their male teachers because it at least appears that the vast majority of teachers that are busted are females getting it on with male students.
Honestly, these laws should not pertain to any relationship where the younger party is at or above the age of consent as already on the books. That’s ludicrous. Would a 22 year old working as a librarian at a public library go to jail for sleeping with an 18 year old hired on for the summer? No.
18 and 22 should be a problem for Human Resources to deal with, not the court system.
Any circumstance where a 22 year old person is criminally charged for having sex with an 18 year old is derivative from poorly written legislation.

At this point we are either have to assume that men are exceptionally better and keeping these things secret or we have to acknowledge that women are far more likely to be the thing feminists say men are. At least in a school environment

These laws won’t hold up under the equal protection clause, there are other authority figures who are not criminally prohibited from having sex with legal age adults.
