When did I ever say that? I'm fine aligning with people I disagree with to stop some of the immediate bleeding, we need to save as many kids as we can.
My point is, think of a boat with a hole in it. It's taking on water, yes it's a good idea to grab a bucket and start bailing out water. But at some point you have to repair the hole.
For this country, that hole used to be small and manageable. Now it is wide and gaping, and we are taking on more water than we can handle. The solution is still not to simply bail water, (although that's not a bad idea by itself).
We have to figure out how to fix the root of the problem. And that ultimately lies with gay marriage. If homosexuals can marry and are considered equal to traditional married couples, then why wouldn't the culture demand what it is demanding. Engage in some critical thinking about this issue, and see how it's all connected.
