Going nowhere in the Senate however. Where everything goes to die.

And they know it, which is why they passed it.

It always amazes me how the Dems seem to ALWAYS vote as one single unit. No detectors. And the people are all ok with it.

Actually, since it's budget/fiscal, can't McConnell "Byrd rule" it for simple majority?

Of course, it won't matter with Collins, McCain and Murkowski

It depends on if McConnell has taken his anti-cuck pills and if McCain is far enough gone that he can't render a vote. At that point you just have to hope a couple of Dems can be lured over with handouts to pet causes.

That is about 1/3 of 1% of the projected spending.

We can not afford a reduction of 0.3 %?

We are so screwed.

I haven't had the opportunity to read anything about this bill or where the spending would be cut but in general, it has been my experience that most conservatives are in favor of cutting spending until it affects them directly or even indirectly. (until it's the company in their town that will be closing)

In order to receive national funding for election campaigns, they're required to be photographed with farm animals. This helps maintain order down the road should one ever want to leave the plantation.

It looks like Rs are going to band with Ds to block this from even getting to the Senate floor

So far Burr and Collins have voted "No" on bringing this to the floor. Remember, this isn't actually cutting the budget, it is a proposal to pull back funds from prior years that haven't been spent. So this money is just sitting on the books in the various agencies, pure government bloat.

These cuts were in programs that were either no longer used or the GAO said money couldnt be spent from....

this was basically a spending cut on paper only

Trump should have vetoed the budget bill when he had the chance. Big mistake.

Put Trump, Pence and their families on AF1, burn DC to the fricking ground.

Anyone got names on those two?

One might be McConnell for procedural reasons.

We all know Juan McSame is in Sedona rather than DC, so that’s a “not present”.

Who is the remaining vote? Flake? Corker? Someone else?
