Is he a car jacker?

"There's nothing that I can say that could defend what he did, his actions that night," San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said when video of the incident was released. "Officers are prohibited from shooting at moving vehicles unless it's in defense of life, and that particular case that evening was not in defense of life."

Seemed the reasonable thing to do after he wanted to talk about anything but my question and accuse me of random nonsense.
When cops/politicians say the shooting was about officer safety, we take their word automatically now? Wasn't aware cops' word was valued so highly around here. I love that that is the new standard.

So do you care if I quote your stupidity or not? Because, as a stupid person, you’ve said both yes and no within just a few posts of each other

That guy should never have been a cop.

That place is *dangerous*
Love it. Aggiebelle usually ends up at Cava haha. And we go to the Lifetime Athletic gym over there (I'm actually at that gym right now getting ready to take a spin class she's coaching tonight).

They have a pita with meatballs? I think my wife got me in there once and I was disappointed there was no gyro double meat.

I'm a local with direct knowledge of the venue and SAPD, and demonstrated such physically in this very thread. Also, I'm not some ACAB/Defund the police weirdo. I tend to give LEOs the benefit of the doubt at first blush, but facts always rule the day for me, incident by indicent. This incident was fully the fault of the cop, as echoed by the SAPD itself. You're merely being contrarian here for the sake of it. That much is clear, amigo.

Agreed.
Bad cops need to get weeded out. Hopefully, before they hurt someone. That's best done by their own. The mentality that it's the blue guys against the public needs to be modified. Needs to be the blue guys and most of the public against the bad guys. Not sure how to accomplish that.

Well said.

That's the kicker. The discourse has been poisoned in the current era, with unhelpful rhetoric from all sides ruling the day. Going to take some time to change the dynamic now, unfortunately.

I’m not saying he deserves to get shot, but comply with the cops and you’ll never get shot/harmed
“Never”is a might strong word here. But you have problems on both sides with this issue. Yes you do have some a-hole, power hungry cops that They are however in the minority. So going to the extreme on either side is not good. Not all cops are saints and by no means are they all evil. Gotta deal with them as individuals and deal with the bad apples, which is the right path.

All cops or his leadership? I’ve seen leadership throw a guy under the bus before for optics, so that doesn’t carry much weight with me.
I’m not saying anything about this particular instance because I haven’t bothered to watch the video, but don’t put too much into what senior officials say when there’s political pressure.
