17 days until the first debate

Over recent weeks of watching Biden solely only being able to read from a teleprompter, and botch a handful of his lines even from a script, we’re in for a really fun September 29th.
Enjoy the next few months. Donald Trump will be re-elected.

Biden is not going to screw up too badly and he will be hailed as the victor, book it.

Biden will NEVER debate Trump! Mark it down.

This is the danger of lowering expectations.
If Biden shits his pants either literally or figuratively everyone will see it for themselves.
If you tell everyone he's going to shite himself and he doesn't, it looks like a big win.
Peak Biden, maybe 12 years ago, was not good at this sort of thing. He's awkward with his weird grins. He was a gaffe machine.
It's unlikely he will be better 12 years later but my advice would be to raise his expectations, not lower them.
Just say, "Joe Biden has been on the political stage 47 years, he's running for President of the United States. We expect, and the American people should expect a vigorous debate of the issues."
If he drools, even better but let people see it for themselves.

He is in full blown Alzheimer’s. There’s no reversal medicine, you can only take acetylcholinesterase inhibitors which mildly slow the decline. The media cannot pause the debate and edit it to cover up his mental decline.

13 days till Biden starts showing Covid symptoms.
Posted on 9/12/20 at 1:02 pm to Stidham8
Yeah this will never happen.

Look for a hard push by the left and their press of some sort of sudden random spike in Covid cases, thus allowing Biden to bow out of an in person debate. Lather, rinse and repeat over the next 50 + days.
None of these 3 or 4 debates will ever take place.

Biden is going to be pumped full of Vyvanse. He isn't going to do anything too crazy.

I don’t think the debate is going to be in person anyways is it?

I agree. Trump should not make the same mistake that Obama did vs. Romney in the first debate.
He should prepare as if he is debating Chris Hahn with Rachael Maddow acting as the moderator- it's going to be a ton of OMB.

No doubt the moderators will try to cover for him but without looking totally biased in doing so the moderators are going to have themselves quite a conundrum.

Format: The debate will consist of six 15-minute segments, each beginning with a question posed by the moderator. Each candidate gets two minutes to answer the question. The moderator will then use the remaining time “for a deeper discussion of the topic,” according to the Commission on Presidential Debates. The topic of each segment will be announced prior to the debate.
Format: The second debate will follow a town hall style meeting format, with questions posed by undecided voters from the Miami area. Candidates will receive two minutes each to answer questions, and there will be one minute reserved for the moderator to “facilitate further discussion.”
Format: The format of the third debate will be the same as the first debate.

Ain't gonna happen. If it does it'll be scripted as frick and they'll intervene everytime Trump speaks. It'll be a shite show and the common folk will see right thru it, the retards on the other hand will eat that shite up.

This strategy will fail mightily, much like the hands off strategy they tried with the protests/riots, the one where they had to come back and embarrassingly revise their position. Except this time they'll not be able to repair the damage.

My concern is the bar for Biden is so low that it will be celebrated if he uses complete sentences while not shtting himself.

Except they will be sitting down at a table.

I share that exact same concern. That can perhaps be addressed in the upcoming 17 days by working to raise the bar and refrain from throwing jabs at Biden's cognition. Build him up. It can be done.
