How does this alter Florida elections going forward?

Who knows? Folks from both side of the aisle commit crimes and go to prison.
But minorities in large part are dems. And we obviously have a lot of minorities in prison. So...

If they have paid their debt to society their rights should be restored.

1.5 million??? That means 7% of the state's population consists of convicted felons.
Is that right?
Is that right?

Yeah this is a huge deal actually. Trump will have to maintain his rust belt coalition to win.

And 500 thousand will actually vote.

Voting shouldn't be considered a right in the first place.
Do you want random dumbasses helping to choose who your doctor should be? Why is it any different for politicians?
It's high time we bring back poll tests.

It is one thing to finnish a prison sentence, but there is much more involved in paying their debt to society. Did they come back into society, gain employment, pay taxes, be responsible family members for starters? Or did they do their time and just out hanging in the hood, or the local pool hall??

Because many of these felonies were probably pled down in many instances...sure they excluded sex and murder, but if we are going to restore rights for felons, there should be a process to apply for re-instatement so that a thorough vetting can be done.
We ain't talking about misdemeanors here...we are talking about felonies...

Go ahead and explain why people who don't even understand the role/limits of government should be allowed to have a say in who runs it.
