You don't get to extract a ransom for doing your job, for doing what you're supposed to be doing anyway, or just because there's a law there that you don't like.

Nah that’s probably just the news bubble you’re in. Dems frick up all kinds of stuff but on this they’ve been very clear, and really focused on one thing, healthcare. Specifically the subsidies.
Nov 1st open enrollment (ACA) starts and you’re going to see millions of republicans in red states see their bill skyrocket without them (assuming no change). Vulnerable members of congress are going to feel the heat.

The optics are really getting bad for the Dems.
The optics are bad for Congress in general. It’s asinine that they do this regularly. Maybe if they actually worked instead of waiting until 3 days before a shut down to do their job and try to work something out (or—gasp—pass a budget) this shite wouldn’t happen every four months.

Exactly, Enjoy the paid time off, they deserve it.
Why work if you don't need to and still get paid

Dems need to give 7 votes the end debate in the senate so the senate can vote on the CR

On September 30, 2013, prior to the government shutdown, President Barack Obama stated: "One faction of one party in one house of Congress in one branch of government doesn't get to shut down the entire government just to refight the results of an election".
In further remarks, he stated, "You don't get to extract a ransom for doing your job, for doing what you're supposed to be doing anyway, or just because there's a law there that you don't like."
Look how stupid you are

When this ends, the Dems will sign the exact same CR that's been on the table since the beginning.
Every single Republican has voted for it except Rand.
Dems have voted for it for over 10 times consecutively.
What changed is, the Obamacare subsidies from COVID are expiring, an expiration created by Dems!
Now, Obamacare being entirely owned by Dems since it's inception, is doing exactly what it was intended to do in the first place. Blow up the healthcare system.
Dems own all of it, they just don't have the power to implement single payer and make doctors and nurses government employees.
There's nothing to negotiate aside from a subsidy extension so they can work on a legislation to finally put Obamacare out of its destructive misery.
That only happens when the CR gets passed
Idiot Dems let schumer put them in this situation and how they have to sign the exact same CR from day one, but with a lot of collateral damage along the way and nothing to show for it.
Idiots and grifters. The lot of them.

The essential excepted people are also getting screwed. Furthermore, just because other things are currently shut down doesn’t mean they’re never needed. Yes, things like USAID are glorified money laundering but I believe in some government.

You're going to see Obamacare again as it was intended. The temporary covid shite was written to expire. And it's expiring. Who did that?

All the SNAP recipients on socials are already saying they're just going to steal the food if their EBTs are cut off.
Not surprisingly, just getting a job hasn't occurred to them as an option. I think these people genuinely believe that they're allergic to gainful employment.

Democrats in the Senate are refusing to vote to pass the continuing resolution.
A 60 vote majority is required. Republicans do not hold 60 seats in the Senate.
ETA: Hopefully this helps, but I'm sure it won't.
