Whats the argument against these counting? I haven't heard the pros or cons yet....

Drive through voting was not agreed on by Texas legislators. The Democrat Clerk of Court in the County decided to allow it with no input from Republicans, and only provided drive through in heavy Democrat areas. I'm a Harris County voter, but I live out in the suburbs where drive through voting was not provided.

I also live in the west Houston suburbs.
Thought I heard on nightly news that they did ask the gov etc for input first...

This was just another Hotze effort...he is a local very very wealthy doctor that is always trying creative things to push his agenda..

He has a long list of efforts like this .....

My issue with it is that I myself cannot do it, so neither should they. If this is allowed, then every other county and parish should be able to sue for voter suppression.

you don’t see the opposite position of “they did it, so I could too”?

Not only that, but the Democrat Clerk of Court was warned against doing it, and he made up new rules anyway. The Clerk is an appointed position, not elected. And then he put these drive thu's in strategic Democrat areas. If he would have done it fairly, he may have not been challenged.

Can you imagine if appointed bureaucrats were allowed to just make up rules to harvest votes for their party?

While it won’t matter much for President. Trump is likely to win TX by more than that... but who knows this election.

Harris county GOP was more concerned with local and state races, wanting to disenfranchise a very large group of people. Fascism in other words.

I have no real issue with this. So long as "legit" votes.

Well, that's the crux of it, isn't it.

Drive through votes? Has this ever been done before? Has the method gone through the proper vetting and procedures? What's next? Waitr voting?

This lawsuit is disgraceful. It's vote suppression. I'm yet to hear who these people are pushing for this, but they should put their faces out there to be shamed publicly. They're doing it for one reason: scared tx will turn blue.

Would love to hear your take on voter ID laws

Voter ID should be required, as it is at these polling locations (source: I know 10 people who voted drive thru).

If you aren’t competent enough to acquire a state issued ID or drivers license you might be a moron.

I think the issue with this is the fraud and the fact that what they are doing is supposed to be illegal. Also, the poll watcher who was a veteran police officer who saw the workers at the drive through polls with stacks of driver licenses helping those without ID vote.

I saw the write up below posted on FB

Report on Massive Election Vote Fraud in Harris County
Harris County, home to Houston Texas, is the third largest voting county in the country with approximately 2.5 million voters.
As Harris County goes, so goes Texas. As Texas goes, so goes the nation.
The Socialist Democrats took complete control of Harris county, winning all countywide offices in 2018, by a 200,000 vote margin.
By comparison, Obama and Romney ran essentially dead even in 2012. President Trump lost Harris county in 2016 by 140,000 votes (11% less the Clinton), while carrying Texas by 8%. How did this dramatic vote swing occur in the largest Republican county in the country? Massive Democrat election voter fraud in Harris.
I have hired three private investigators (PI) to lead a team of 20 private investigators to investigate, expose and disrupt this criminal activity. Two of my private investigators are former members of the Houston Police Department, each with over 20 years on the police force. One investigated drug gangs and the other investigated political corruption. Our other leader worked for the FBI for 16 years in surveillance.
This is what we have uncovered.
The master minds behind the massive ballot by mail vote harvesting election fraud scheme are Democrat County Commissioner Rodney Ellis and Democrat State Senator Boris Miles. They have two captains, Gerald Womack and Dallas Jones.
Jones was hired by the Biden campaign to run the Biden Texas operation. These captains have scores of paid vote harvesters working for them.
Vote harvesting is a second-degree felony under the Texas Election Code. This is a criminal operation that these Democrat elected officials are running.
Our informants have told us that Dallas Jones was picked up by the FBI, the weekend before last, for 2 days of interrogation. He was subsequently fired by the Biden campaign.
They harvest ballots by mail from nursing homes, homeless centers,
door to door in poor neighborhoods, often dressed as Census workers. They offer $50 gift cards in front of stores asking people to take ballots by mail, acquired from the above, to sign and mail at a local post office.
They hold ballots by mail in several locations where people forge signatures on the collected ballots by mail.
We have presented evidence to the local DA, Kim Ogg, who received over $2 million from Soros funded organizations in her election in 2018. The evidence was an affidavit from a 30 year black police officer who was serving as a pole watcher and saw the election judge use a table full of phony IDs to vote people that were voting by drive through.
This is a criminal act and a felonyaccording to the Texas Election Code. The district attorney’s office did not even want to entertain our criminal complaint.
This information along with other affidavits of harassment of pollwatchers and alternate election judges was sent to the office of Republican Atty. General Ken Ken Paxton.
The Democrat County clerk, Chris Hollins, instituted drive-through voting by anyone for any reason which is in violation of the Texas Election Code. I filed a petition for writ of mandamus before the Texas Supreme Court last week to stop this illegal activity and they voted 7 to 1 to deny the petition.
The County clerk has now opened up the early voting polling locations until 10 PM for the rest of the week until the last day, when nine polling places will be open 24 hours. Of the 120 early voting locations, the vast majority are in Democrat areas of the county.
Hollins independently mailed ballots by mail to all individuals 65 and older, in violation of Texas Election Code, which requires an individual to request a ballot by mail before it can be sent. Hollins planned on sending every registered voter a ballot by mail, but the Texas Supreme Court granted our petition and stopped this.
The Harris County voter files have not been purged since 2016 when the Democrats took charge. We can document that dead people have voted in this election and people who have moved out of state.
I have been in contact with the Texas Attorney General, Ken Paxton, the FBI, the Houston Police Department, and the US attorney for the Southern District, Ryan Patrick. No arrest warrants have been entered and we do not expect them to issue any. They seem to think that it’s too political.
In the meantime, the Democrats are implementing their massive election voter fraud scheme, mostly in open sight. One arrest would go miles in stopping this election fraud scheme
Gov. Abbott, Lt. Gov. Patrick and Attorney General Paxton have been missing in action and they are all Republicans. They don’t seem to care. The Texas Supreme Court, also made up of all Republicans, has allowed Abbott to suspend the election laws, increasing the length of early voting by one week and allowing unlimited drive-through voting in Harris County.
All of this creates an environment and an opportunity for the Democrats to carry out their massive election fraud scheme.
I am filing a lawsuit in Federal District Court in Houston today to stop drive-through voting and have these votes sequestered before they are turned in for tabulation on election day. I am asking for an emergency injunction.
The basis of this lawsuit is the 14th Amendment, the equal protection clause. All counties are required by law to follow the Texas Election Code. In Bush v. Gore the US Supreme Court ruled that the Florida Supreme Court had violated Florida’s election code by allowing Broward county to have different election rules than other counties in Florida. This violated the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment. The rest is history.
If we don’t win in federal district court, then we will of course appeal to the Fifth Circuit where we have a majority of conservatives. They will follow the precedent set in Bush v Gore by the US Supreme Court in 2000.
The drive through locations are located in primarily in Democrat areas. This also violates the 14th Amendment.

My wife, myself and my in-laws all did the drive through voting at NRG stadium. None of the votes were for Biden

The process was no different than any other time I voted in person. They take your driver's license and scan it with the same machine they did during 2018. They print a 4 digit number ticket and hand it to you with the exact same machine I voted on during the primary. You take that huge scrolling wheel machine in the car with you and vote exactly the same as normal.

We did it the second day of early voting and the whole process was about 15 min. The longest part of the process was the moron "guides" who kept forcing me to stop the car every 20 ft so they could tell me what direction to go through the cones. I had to tell each one that I know how to read signs and I would appreciate it if they would stop making me roll down my window. I guess they thought their target audience either couldn't read or follow simple directions
