Its been out for about a month and if you listen to This American Life(TAL) then you know about it.

Its going to be long form podcasting, over 10-15 episodes. This first Series is about a murder in which a teenage boy was put away with no physical evidence whatsoever. The reporter does her own investigation and tells a great story.

I don't know if there are "spoilers" as to whether its been determined if he's actually guilty or not. I've resisted googling or researching myself. If you come across something please don't post spoilers not related to whats come out on the podcast. I'm hoping this can turn into a discussion thread. They are on episode 4 right now.

I know the OT loves a good murder mystery.

It reminds me of "The Staircase" documentary. After each episode I've changed my mind again about whether I really think he did it.

I only wish the episodes were longer.

Yea I'm in the same boat. I saw the thread here and listened to Eps 1-6 one day earlier in the week. When 7 cut off yesterday I was disappointed that it was done already.. so I listened again. I think he did it.

He may have. But so far I'm still surprised he was convicted based on what they had.

This! He may have done it but the evidence the State brought against him was really weak from what we've learned so far.

I'm only through episode 2 so nobody tell me anything too far ahead, but I thought the premise early in episode 1 (the Jay part) was that he didn't have a car and that's why he drove him to the mall? Then fast forward a little, and it's talking about them both having cars.

I missed something I'm sure, but I haven't had a chance to relisten.

Adnans car was one and the 2nd car they were talking about at that part would've been the car belonging to the girl who was murdered.

Makes sense, thanks. I actually just got to the part in episode 2 where they're talking about her car, so good timing.

Thanks for starting this thread. I didn't know about this and it gave me something to listen to while I stained some bookcases last night.

Now I have to wait a week!

I don't think he did it.

I finished episode 5 yesterday. This Jay fella is pretty questionable. Don't know what to think of Adnan.

I concur with the fact that its pretty captivating. Regardless of guilt, good story and has me intrigued.

Can't wait for next weeks episode so I can figure out what happened to Jay. I think they have left this out for a reason. No way he didn't get time. It seems like if Adnan did it he would have admitted it once jay went after him. I can't believe if he did it and jay ratted on him he wouldn't ditch the story and try to stick it to Jay.

Thanks for the tip. Got caught up last night.

Jay seems suspect, especially his ever-changing story. But after Adnans call from the park, I don't think he is innocent either. Maybe they were both involved in killing her, but Jay just tried to save his own skin?
