Like these companies didn't know he was a huge racist pos before this happened or something.

Yea but now what choice do they have

Everyone has to out outrage each other or be labeled a racist or a racist apologist

I'm not sure why that matters.
They aren't taking a moral/ethical stance. They are evaluating the benefit of advertising with Donald Sterling.

The sponsors can't afford the bad press time to bail

Big difference when the general public now knows as well.

They chose to sponsor his team even though he had plenty of controversies before this.
It's funny these companies try to act all offended and holier than thou even though they've been associated with him this whole time.

Because I'd want my companies logo on the floor when TNT guys are bashing Donald Sterling for not liking black people.
Yeah...
Yeah...

Yeah...
Of course they don't want to.
But they sponsored his team even though he didn't rent out to black people and had some weird racial fetish about Baylor.
Don't act like this offends you when that didn't.

They're not acting like it offends them, they're acting like they don't want to lose customers who could potentially see them as being racist apologists

Is the NAACP gonna return all the millions he gave them?

Any advertisement is good advertisement.

Read their public statements.
You're missing the point that he's always been associated with racial bigotry. And these companies gave him money. Oh but now we're going to bail out.

But not so much to the general public, hell I knew who he was and that he was probably racist before this, but I didn't know about all the stuff he had done in the past. Before it was like, oh yea okay this dude is out of touch with the times, now it's like god damn this guy thinks black people are his slaves.
I'm not saying that is the case, I'm saying that is the perception

Why would they care if he was racist if they got the expected ROI?

Exactly. Just don't act all holier than thou once shite hits the fan.

Yeah most sports fans didn't know who owned the clippers before this happened.
Why? No one cares who an owner is unless it's a team you pull for.

Who's acting holier than thou? The companies because they don't want to lose customers over this?
