San Fransisco now has Picks 31, 34, 61, 74, and 93 among several more.

We got Picks 15 and 77 then a few more.

Lets make some shite happen.

Like 15 for 34, 61, and 74? They end up with 2 first round picks, we end up with 2 2nds and 2 thirds?

15th pick in the draft, they can consolidate some picks for upper echelon quality. They may not have enough roster space for all the picks they have.

There is a good chance they will have even more after they trade Smith.
I don't see them doing anything until that deal is done but they should be game if their guy is there at 15.

I believe they have 12 picks (5 in the first 93 selections) as well as 3 compensatory picks.

You better believe they will make some moves with this. Revis might be heading here, making them even more of a force.

I said this to a friend the other day. They have a ton of draft picks and most likely would get one more in return (possibly a 2nd most likely a 3rd) for Alex Smith and that trading down to 31 and picking up a 2nd round pick would be the ideal situation.

What does SF really need in this draft? Maybe one of the top ranked Guards? I'm sure they wouldn't mind landing Patterson at WR. Not sure they don't use a big combination of their 15 picks to move further up than the 15th pick. Hopefully their guy is sitting their and we can make a deal. 31 and 34 sounds good to me.

KC has aquired Smith according to football guys.

Hi Folks,

Hope your "offseason" is going well. We're rocking along here working hard on improving the site and apps for the 2013 season. We won't fill your mailbox with updates on every move, but we'll let you know about the big ones. Looks like a big one is going down today as ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that the 49ers have traded QB Alex Smith to Kansas City.

I like this move a lot. Kaepernick was clearly the future in San Francisco so there isn't any effect there. But the Chiefs get a much needed upgrade. We've seen enough of Alex Smith to have a pretty idea of what they're getting here. He's a solid player that can deliver the ball reliably. He won't be confused for Peyton Manning or Tom Brady, but if you're a Chiefs fan, or you own some of the Kansas City skill position players, I think you have to like this.

Thanks to Footballguy Cecil Lammey for the headsup. Have a great Wednesday.

saints traded new england a 2012 1st rounder and their 2nd round (#56) for #28

#31 and #34 don't seem that big of a stretch

Well I doubt they bring 15 drafted players onto their roster, so I think the #15 pick may be something they want

Exactly, this team is a piece or two away from becoming a force in the NFL for years to come (as long as Kaepernick remains healthy). They get a WR that can stretch the field, something Crabtree, old man Moss and the other pieces can't do or maybe another player on that front 3 could elevate them to the next level. Also, they might lose Goldson so they could take a safety as well

You guys act like the 9ers have no needs and can't use all of their picks productively

No room on the roster? C'mon
