I mean the ones that make you want to kill puppies. You hear them because they are played on stations you listen to or are mistakenly placed in a genre you enjoy. Or, your wife plays them.
Alice In Chains with Staley - give me a litter of baby Golden Retrievers so I can rip their heads off one by one. HATE HATE HATE ...DIE DIE DIE
I kinda like Don't Follow when not hearing Staley.
Marilyn Manson - Good God that crap is awful
NIN - Unlistenable noise.
Love and Rockets - not sure what to say here. Terrible.
Howard Jones - why is he thought of as alt or college? It's pop crap, and not even good pop crap.

Not that they were ever played on the radio a lot, but it always puzzled me why people liked Rancid at all.
