Can Rory McIlroy make it two in a row?

Does any american have a real chance here?

Will Westwood finally break through?

Can Donald prove he can win one that matters?

What pants will John Daly wear?

These are the important questions.

Is it okay for me to brag that I will be there? (going on the Friday)...I'll take anyone from the British Isles winning it over the field...

I think Rory can win it but I don't think he will.

Kuchar is my favorite for an American. He's been playing good golf and he played overseas last weekend.

I don't think Westwood breaks through. Just a feeling.

The Donald question is a good one. He's playing the best golf. It seems like he in the top 10 every week and coming off a win. Can he keep playing as good as he has been, is my question.

Let's just hope that Daly wears pants.

I find the British the hardest to guess a winner. So many factors are different than usual. Weather is usually different, players deal with traveling, and mist golfers are playing a style of golf they hardly play.

Rory is top 5, possibly wins.

2 Americans in the top 10, Kutchar and Zach Johnson.

Westwood give a good run. Finishes 3rd.

Luke Donald wears pink, finishes 13th.

Daly wears lime green and orange pasley britches. Plays good Thursday, blows up Friday, misses the cut by 2.

I think the winner may be a foreigner but not necessarily from the UK. leaning toward a Quiros or Cabrera type pick here.

Just saw where McIllroy and a few other notables will be teeing off Thursday at about 3:20 AM CST. That will be the tee time for Mickelson and his group on Friday.

Am I a loser if I wake up to watch the Open at that time?

ABSOLUTELY. Had the lead on Sunday at the Masters and then wont the US Open. Does he have a chance? Damn straight.

Yes, two. Nick Watney and Steve Stricker, though I give the edge to Watney.

Yep.

Nope.

Of those two, I'd agree. Stricker disappears in majors. I'm not sure either has the game to win if this plays like a true links style event, i.e., wind, rain, etc. I'd be pretty surprised if an American won this event.

I'll take McIlroy as the obvious favorite. Others who I think will be there on Sunday...Donald, Sergio, Jason Day, Adam Scott, and KJ Choi.

Darkhorse...Ross Fisher

He had to play great in his last shot at making the Open and he did it. He may be desined to finally break through.....

or he might 3 putt the 72nd hole to blow it.

Rory....led last 7 of 8 rounds in the majors this year. T-3 at Open and PGA last year. I think he finishes in the top 3 again, and I'd put money on him to win.

Westwood. No, possibly top 10.

Donald. Top 10.

American. If one wins, I don't think it will be a big name player. I don't see Phil challenging. Would love to see Kuchar do well.

I have Jason Day winning it. He has been really close the last 2.

I think it will come down to Donald, McIlroy and a nameless, obscure European not on the radar. I like Fowler to be in the mix
