Going for a long weekend. Any suggestions regarding food & drink for the knowledgeable crew of TD Food & Drink Board?

Stinky's Fish Camp is really good. Cafe Thirty-A is really good. Cafe Tango gets great reviews but I've never been.

Louisiana Lagniappe. Most of the places I went in Destin were awful (Back Porch, AJ's etc)

Yea? We're going to Grayton for a week this summer. May have to check it out.

I ate there at the end of last summer. I had a pretty good meal. I should've eaten there on the first night as we had spent the entire day drinking on the beach and I remember them having a really good happy hour and things get a bit hazey at that point.

yes, yes, and HELL FREAKIN' YES. Just kidding (sort of)...Cafe Tango is my favorite place in the 30-A area right now - it is, simply, awesome. It's small, though, so make reservations. Stinky's is a good, casual kid-friendly place. Cafe 30-A is a very servicable go-to dinner place. Won't blow you out of the water, but always has good food and service. George's at Alyss Beach is a very, very good casual joint. It's casual, but the food is very, very good (not your usual everything fried type of casual in the area) - best grouper sandwich I've ever had. Caliza at Alyss Beach is also very good. Fish Out of Water used to be my favorite but then we found Cafe Tango - I haven't been there in awhile, but Chicken recently said he was underwhelmed by it. I still say the outside seating at that place is the best in the area. Smiling Fish Cafe at Santa Rosa is also a good lunch spot.

Oh yea. We're renting a place on the lake in Grayton.

I'm a fan of Georges. Nice little wine list too. I like Cowgirl Kitchen for take out at Rosemary Beach.

And Stinky's does a pretty good job as well. Better than most seafood over there.

Bud & Alley's. Especially try the rooftop bar - great place to drink and watch the sunset.

I won't argue that it's not a nice place to drink, but the food is far from good. I just about refuse to go back. I've been there at least a dozen times.

Drinks are over priced, food is over priced, but the location and good looking middle aged women keep people coming back.

Yep, but the rooftop bar is the best bar in the area (scenery wise).

In the old fire station? I lived near there, and wondered who the frick ever ate there. I assumed they were going after that condo business.
