Just wondering because I was scanningg over some folks and noticed that he had offers from Bama, Tennesseee, Nebraska and Tulane yet he came in at the New Orleans combine last month at 5'11 149 pounds and ran a 4.65 40?

Is he just getting any sort of offers like this because he's Joe McKnight's younger brother or is he actually worth 3 good/decent BCS offers? 5'11, 149 is plain tiny and a 4.65 40? Sounds like he should be ULL or ULM bound.

Those are some pretty pitiful measurables.

I've taken shits that weigh more than that.

Of all the Louisiana recruits, I'm wondering why Saban offered this guy and Broadway first.

He's listed as 6'0, 170 and 4.55 40 on rivals but that wasn't measured so they probably got that from his coach or Jonathan himself.

Come on though, 5'11 149 and runs a 4.65?

I think you know the answer to that already...

He's currently ranked 54th as an "athlete" on Rivals, one spot ahead of Delino Deshields's son and two spots behind Drew Dileo. The last 4-star is the number 27 athlete, so that speaks volumes about how McKnight has been evaluated.

Bo loves to offer marginal LA kids who probably won't go to LSU, but I can't figure out why AL and TN have offered McKnight. I guess they bought into the hype.

He looked a lot faster than that when he ran the punt back at the Dome.

I think you have to take the offer list from Rivals with skepticism as Coaches don't tell them who they have offered. They get this info from the student athlete. We don't know if they were conditional offers or whatever.

149 is prob a typo

any way, to answer your question, he is a game breaker. INT's and TD returns, Punt and KO returns.

4.65 is pretty fast. Up to par with what we have been putting back there at CB

It looks like he is barely in the top 500 nationally. I don't see too many guys in that range with such prestigious offers, but it will be interesting to see where he actually ends up (meaning COs).

Our LB's look to have been more in the 4.7 - 4.8 range.
