Is there any place in Baton Rouge that sells fresh deer meat/sausage in baton rouge. I don't hunt, but I am craving me some deer.

I have seen deer sausage sold in stores before. I must be farm raised venison not wild.

i bought some frozen deer sausage at chris's yesterday. it was great, and only 3.99 a lb. i think when you have your own made its around 3. i also got some jalapeno and cream cheese stuffed chicken thighs (wrapped in bacon)...and they were fantastic on the grill.
eta. i was also drooling over their BONELESS crawfish stuffed chickens. damn...cant wait for thanksgiving!

Correct and it doesn't taste the same either. Just like store bought ducks it doesn't have the "wild game" taste.

If someone has some property available, I'd be happy to slay a deer or two and butcher all of us up some venison.
