Quit acting like 4 Point floods everytime the wind blows out of the south
I dont know about 4 point but a Strong South or SE wind will result in water in places south of the levee in Cocodrie it never was prior to the Levees! This is a 100 percent Guarantee! Ask anyone that has a camp or business South of the Levee and has been there for 15+ years!

While your water levels did not rise at all during Barry....
So the levee worked?
LOL
And why own anything not protected by it? Since it's public knowledge that land in Louisiana is sinking, eroding and not being replenished?
Then you're going to point out the obvious, the predictable and complain about it?
Did you know that Louisiana has the lowest IQ in the nation, being beat only by Mississippi?

Just have ZERO sympathy or Empathy for anyone dumb enough to risk a single red cent in places like this one. No insurance company should ever cover places like that either. If your gonna be dumb you better be tough.

its a way of life for you?
Yes. I'm not a guide. I never said I make a living doing it, but fishing is a strong part of my identity and what I do when I'm not working.

what the frick are you rambling about? Yes. I'm pointing out something that is obvious, but there are several people who do not think it is so obvious.

Yep. But now they close the floodgates when there is a strong south wind.

How many times have they closed the floodgates?
I know this was the first time they closed them ALL

They've closed Bubba Dove what seems like 10 times, or at least threatened. It is politicians playing with their toys.
You can sign up for text alerts. I get alerts ALL the time that they are closing different gates.

fair enough. I don't know if your camp makes you a better fisherman, but the sticks sure aren't making me a better golfer.

All the OP is saying is that the levee was built and although it did its job, the negative consequences were not taken into consideration, or at least not broadcast to the affected area nor was a remediation plan developed. Is it a camp, yes, but whats the difference? There are also homes down there. The man worked hard for said asset. Camps are built to an elevation based on average storm surges and now that number has increase dramatically due to man made structures.
