I hate to break it to you but you can't touch a 3rd edition match target in good condition for less than $1500.

Ruger Charger is probably my favorite to shoot with a 22/45 lite coming in second.

Don't know if you are serious, I have a new one for sale in my shop, but have never fired one.
I have been surprised by some lower price pistols before.

Walther ppq22 shoots anything and very accurate. Also a great suppressor host.

The Single-Nine uses 22WMR and the Single-Ten uses 22LR.

My Dad has a S&W 22A. It is very accurate and reliable. He also just got a Sig 1911-22. He hasn't been able to be as accurate with it. I have a Rough Rider. It is a good little pistol and came with a 22 mag cylinder.
I have been wanting the SR22 for a while. It is likely my next 22 pistol.

I have the MKIII and it is an awesome little gun. If it is sitting on the bench at the range, it doesn't stay there long. Someone is always shooting it.

When it comes to disassembly and cleaning, I hate that SOB.

absolutely serious. I have one, got my dad one, he bought his emoloyees one for christmas. We love them. I carry it all the time when im in the woods or boat, never once had a problem with it. I have the one with the fiber sights and it is accurate as any. Busted snakes on the river with rat shot, and shoot random shite all the time. Best value around with the 22lr and 22mag receiver. Now if your just wanting to go blast a few hundred rounds of course one of the semi autos would be better. But me personally, i love a revolver and love carrying this one. I actually sold my ruger 22/45 after i got my herritage, it had the heavy barrel and i just didnt like carrying it because of weight when hunting and fishing

I have the Ruger SR22 with the threaded barrel. Light and shoots great. I think I paid $375 for it.

If it was above 95% that was a steal. Most of the ones I see go for$1300-$1800 that are in 98% condition with the box.

LOL,
Was coming here to say that !
Great gun the 22-A S&W. I WILL get better with the Sig. I love to shoot it, too.
Academy had the 22-A for 299 awhile back. Almost bought it for Mrs. Couyon. Couldn't decide between it or the Beretta (neo?) not sure model but it was same price and she liked how it felt.
She can shoot hell out of the 22-A, though.
