Exactly.
On that note. I'm off to bed.

I understand where you're coming from, but you are completely off base with this broseph. Bypass local law enforcement? WTF? The SO/PD doesn't deal with this shite, all they would do is pass it over to the ATF anyway, thats like calling the SO bc you saw somebody shoot 4 deer, its getting turned over to LDWF anyway so wtf is the point of calling the SO?
I didn't read the whole thread either, but from what I gather from the 1st page or so was this guy was buying the guns and turning around and selling them as his primary source of income...thats fricking against the law man, clear cut black and white.
Its not different than you saying well hey I shot this deer or caught these fish I should be able to sell them...no, you shouldn't and you can't.
The thread (from what I read) wasn't this guy pissed off bc dude was buying all the ARs when they came in stock...its bc he was buying them and turning around and selling them all...you can't get any more illegal than that man. If the guy wants to make it his business to flip ARs in the current market then fine! He needs to go apply for his FFL and fricking do it the right way, its pretty simple.
Whether you(faxis) like it or not the OP did the right thing, albeit motivated by probably the wrong ones, he did the right thing.

If it being the law made it right we wouldn't have any reason to resist more gun control laws.
Just sayin...

I have to agree with faxis here.

If you are buying and selling guns as a source of income it is most definitely illegal if you don't have a FFL. Selling a couple from you collection from time to time no problem but buying them with the express purpose of resale is a no go.

Yeah I think we've all acknowledged that's how they've written the law.
The question I have is where is your line in the sand where you no longer comply with how they write those laws?
Personally, unless I know this guy is buying them to sell to felons who are going to use them in commission of a crime, I'm not going to collaborate with those who wrote those gun control laws by tattling on him.
There have been thousands of laws that were wrong over the years. Gun control laws are definitely in that category.

You've made your stance crystal clear, as has okietiger. Let's be gentlemen and agree to disagree?
Also, my interpretation (which may be wrong) is that okie is trying to buy a rifle for his own personal use and continually get's cut off at the knees by this guy that is clearly reselling them. If that's NOT what okie's doing then my stance on that specific portion of this discussion changes.

Exactly right. If he was some guy that was merely saying "F it, I want all the ARs" and was keeping them, yeah it would suck, but wouldn't bother me.
No point in arguing with some of you guys. You're convinced that anyone associated with any form government hates, is out to get you, and should never be collaborated with. While I firmly believe that view point is ignorant, it's yours to have, and I'll respect you for it.

I believe that our government is broken, but I also believe that it can be fixed. Call me an optimist (which is a joke to those of you who know me in IRL) or just call me a hopeful parent of two young children. Regardless I want to believe that we as a country can get back to what made us great once upon a time.
End rant

It just makes me laugh when considering a guy like my uncle, who's been an ATF agent for 30+ years.
And he could not be a bigger gun nut, hunter, nor advocate of the Right to Bear Arms.

In what way is it relevant whether a specific federal agent is a gun nut?
Does it mean he won't follow orders? Even if it did, what difference does it make?
If bad laws are passed, the ATF will enforce them, just like it enforces the bad laws currently on the books.
I'm sure the guy who shot Randy Weaver's wife was a gun nut too.
I would bet that the guy who turned him in for selling a sawed off shotgun was not a liberal.
Ditto for the guys who ran guns to Mexico in F&F.
Ditto for all of you here who see no problem with playing informant for the ATF though you have no reason to believe that this guy's actions are going to result in anything other than a. you not getting an AR at the price you want to pay for it and b. him making money.

Back to my "Outlaw the assholes" post form a few pages back.
From what I read here, Okie wants to buy a couple guns, yet this guy is consistently in from of him and buying everything only to turn around and sell it the same day (as noted by the txt okie posted, the a-hole didn't even want to wait till later in the day to sell to his first contact).
I imagine okie has had a conversation like this:
Okie: "hey, man, I'm trying to get an AR for me and my Dad. You've beaten me here for three weeks now. Can I just buy this one or two and be on my way and you can get back to illegal flipping tomorrow?"
a-hole: "no, cracker."
In which case, I walk out and find a way to rat is arse out.

Arguing a point on the internet < turning someone into the ATF. As far as stirring shite goes.
And aren't you the dude that talked smack to me when all I did was post what I heard about the reliability of 3" 1911s?
