Dude's making money. Sounds like an entrepreneur to me. If he's violating the law, they will catch up to the guy, but his tactics don't bother me in the least. We have too many laws as it is.

I ceased being surprised by the thought process, or lack thereof, of people a long time ago. Some go through life, blind and dumb to the world around them, believing what they see on tv, instead of questioning or researching for the truth.

Can't blame a guy for making a few dollars. Gun laws are too restrictive as they are, we need fewer, not more. If he is selling to felons, nail him. Outside that, I don't care. It's the libertarian in me.

I can when he's basically acting as a dealer taking advantage of the mark ups and buying strictly to resell. One or two is one thing. Double digit numbers, and he's violating the law.

I also think there are too many laws. I think the 86 NFA act should be repealed. Doesn't justify me modifying a weapon to shoot full auto, or cut the barrel down below what the law allows now though.

His actions, are detrimental to law abiding citizens trying to purchase firearms, that may not be available in the near future to buy anymore. If he wants to make money as a dealer, he can buy a business license, like the thousands of other FFL dealers out there that pay for theirs and goes through the scrutiny to conduct their business in a fair and lawful manner.

Roger this is a general statement and not directed at you.

My thoughts is that while it is against to law to buy an sell for the sole purpose of profit without a FFL, it is not criminal as long as he is not making straw purchases. In the future guns could be banned or required regustration. How would you feel if someone ratted you out because you broke the law...

If gun control legislation comes out, many (possibly most) of us will be in violation of the law.

Wow. Really?

I'm sure they'd turn their neighbor in for having a prohibited magazine. Well, if he was black and unemployed they would. B/c this bunch of freedom lovers in here is all about federal firearms laws. And God forbid an individual should sell something for the going rate.

If you're okay with a world where that guy can profit while keeping guns out of actual intended users' hands

Who do you think is buying these guns from him? Is he selling them to little old ladies who think they're buying life insurance?

First of all I need to apologize. Im sorry for calling all your manhoods into question. The authoritarian nature of the federal government pissess me off to no end. I believe in limited government. And the current state of affairs belies the fact that our government is not limited. We are one election away from losing what makes us all free men because the words "no" and "none of your business" have been absent from everyday life save but for a few isolationists like myself. We shouldnt simply be handing our civil liberties away because a few of us may or may not partake in actions detremental to themselves and others. Private property is just that it should be no ones business what I do with a product that I purchase. If I want to buy corn whisky from Jim Tom that is no ones business save myself and Jim Tom the same goes for adults enguaging in consentual sex for renumeration and the crack head and his dealer. We've lost so much because no one bothered to hold the line where it was. There is no sound reason for the fire arms restrictions placed upon us by the federal government. If you want a suppressed pistol or an sbr you should not have to bend knee to the ATF for your choice of firearm. Its no one elses business what you own and chose to defend your person and family. Thats why Im pissed because we layed down so long that now we have to fight to protect our civil rights from the very people sworn to protect and defend them. When we are morally inconsistent in application of civil liberties, we lose them. These guys like the president, they dont go away, enough is never enough they wont stop until we are all dead or kissing their feet.

Aren't you the same guy who followed me around bitching on the Dorner thread on the OT when I was making this exact same point in regards to the knee jerk reactions to the police shooting the pickup with the two ladies in it?

Gotta practice what you preach, brother.

Somebody better figure out real quick like where the line for this 'stand' is.

Because otherwise it'll be too late.

No. I was the guy pointing out that officers fired on a vehicle without knowing the target, which was emphasized, by being the wrong vehicle, and having two hispanic women in it, one being 71 yrs old.

Why didn't you just say that to begin with?

Pretty much agree with that. However, there are laws in place that have to be followed, and being such, nobody should be above it, while others have to follow it. There's ways to oppose it and change it, rather than to break it and in turn causing an undue burden on others in the meantime.
