That Ridgid is a pretty decent sander. My wife got me the trim router for Christmas and that sander came with it.

I assume the AMPs is the key to sanding stronger/faster?

I have no clue TBH. I have the one you posted a pic of, a bunch of sanding pads, a Black and Decker Mouse (not a bad sander either) and a borrowed Craftsman Belt Sander from my FIL. (Piece of shite)

This will be my next tool purchase.... Ridgid Spindle/Belt Sander

Yep on the amps. You'll prob want to make sure that you get a variable speed.

I was just about to post that I want a spindle sander. Just can't see dropping the money because I haven't needed it often enough.

same here. I did pick up some sanding drums that run in the drill press recently. So far i'd rate them as not ideal but certainly better than nothing, which is about what I expected.
