Thats the problem. You only ever hear about it, never get to go there yourself or know someone trustworthy enough that has and would tell you.

A buddy of mine stated this regarding gun supply and said it applies to ammo supplies as well.

"Just got a call from my firearms distributer. All handguns are going to "allocated" status until further notice. That means that we will not be able to order handguns on our own, they will be handed out to us by the sales reps as the become available. Things are getting a little crazy.."

It means that FFL dealers will not be able to order guns at will. Because of the HUGE demand for handguns, the distrubuters (at least mine) are going to delve out handguns to dealers based on "wish lists". In other words, if I want to order an LC9 I can't just order one when they come in. I have to wait for my rep to call me and say they have some in and I can order up to 2 of each type on my wish list as they come in. They are sort of moving to the way ammo is being handed out now.

natural question is: where is the ammo that previously went to our local WM now going to?

Everyone's shelves were emptied almost at once. It takes time to catch up. The manufacturers are sending less than full orders to their sellers. It'll be a while before everyone can catch back up.

I went to Nichols in DeQuincy this afternoon and ask the lady behind the gun counter if they had any 22LR and ofcourse she said no, I then ask her when they would be getting some more in and her words were "we're not getting any more".

Don't know if she was being truthful or not so take it for what it's worth.

Maybe people wouldn't be in a panic if DHS hadn't purchased over a billion JHPs.

Why does it have to be white box? Winchester is a bunch of racists.

Yes, I think you're right about that.
I don't know how all this is going to work out but I'm not very optimistic at this point and time. I think we are in uncharted times an things will never be as we knew them before.

I read a report yesterday that said 'Big Sis' (Homeland Security) has ordered 1.6 Billion rounds in the last 12 months. The report stated that to put this amount in prospective at the height of the Irag War our soldiers used 6 million rounds per month meaning 1.6 Billion would supply 20 years of war!!!!

They have also recently ordered 2,600 armored personnel carriers.

This is not our military doing this! It's homeland security!

Any thoughts? Any wonder you're having trouble buying it?

It saddened me to see it, knowing I no longer own it.

Plus I needed a cool sig like the OB elite.

And they aren't just FMJ rounds. They're actual hollow points.

Do you think Speer is going to be supplying the JHPs? I wonder if we can get ammo companies to step up to the plate like some of the firearms ones have.
