I have seen plenty pigs hit by cars. They out number deer 30 to 1 on some of our WMA'S. You never see any deer hit on the highway in those areas. Good job LDWF. I love seeing 100's of pigs a year and only a handful of deer. More liberal deer hunting regulations please. We need to kill off the few deer we have left.

There are also a lot more deer than pigs if I had to guess.

No way. Deer only have 1 to 2 offspring. Pigs have 8 to 12 piglets and in 6 months those female piglets are getting pregnant.

Deer eat on the side of the road. Pigs seldom do. That's the difference.

Hope you never hit a pig. Buddy got one going down hwy 23 close to Myrtle grove and it focked his truck up. He tried to save the meat but it was a 300 lb boar that stunk like shite

I've never hit a pig or even seen a dead one on the side of the road, but I did hit a deer at about 1 a.m. going 65 about 20 years ago. It went straight up in the air and did a crap load of damage. I drove to my girlfriend's house nearby - yes, it was many years ago - and called the sheriff department to report the accident and to see if I had any responsibility in removing the deer.

The sheriff laughed and said son you are supposed to make sure the body is not a hazard, but this is the country and that thing is already on somebody's grill. Glad someone got some enjoyment because it almost totaled my fairly new Grand Am!

Unfortunately pigs are much smarter than deer

That must be the case because I watch YouTube video of these guys trapping 40-50 hogs at a the time and talk about how out of control they are. I asked a bunch of buddies of mine that are hunters and none of them have ever hit a pig, but they've all hit a deer or came very close to hitting one.

There's a highway I travel on my trip from my home in TX to LA that I see more pigs than deer. But it's one of the only places I can say I regularly see pigs. And regularly is a relative term.

I saw a dead hog on the side of the road a month ago on Hwy 1054 in Kentwood and I thought it was a bear lying there at first. Huge!
