I up-voted cause you said crossbow. I practiced with my recurve in pre-season this year and ended up with an aching right shoulder and left elbow. Even though I killed 3 deer with my rifle this season, I may get a crossbow so I can bowhunt next bowseason.

Have not released an arrow this year.

Had a monster 9 that was 60 yards out - never got comfortable with the shot.

Let a 3 year old 8 walk - if he makes it another couple weeks, he will be a stud next year.

I've seen deer every hunt but haven't shot one yet. Nice young 8 got a pass hopefully makes it to next year. Seen a young 7pt a few times and a bunch of does and several spikes. I've got several nice ones on camera just waiting for them to start chasing and moving around some.

I am in my stand now. Tomorrow is the last day of bow season here. Hopefully something walks out.

killed his 6 already but didnt report them. He called LDWF and said he lost his tags. Paid something like $2 and got 6 more tags that he plans on filling.

why would he need 6 more tags if he never filled out the first 6?

I just took a horrible shot on a doe with my bow. Sick to my stomach.

If you bow hunt enough, it's bound to happen unfortunately. I think my previous screw ups made me a better hunter and hopefully I can pass my lessons learned onto my kids. Hope you find her. Good luck.

I found her. She went about 200 yards and crossed a highway into the neighbors land. I’m just glad I found her, but it was a pretty joyless experience.

He is placing the tags on the deer to be legal during transport. Then he doesn't report them on line. So he needs more to place on the next 6 he kills.
