Who else hasn't gotten a deer yet this season?

I'm getting worried. I probably only have 2 weekends left. They only seem to be coming out at night.

im usually in your position but this year i lucked out and got 2 right off the bat. Last year and 2 years before that i didnt kill until the last weekend
In academy today i heard a guy talking how he hunts in fort polk area and has killed his 6 already but didnt report them. He called LDWF and said he lost his tags. Paid something like $2 and got 6 more tags that he plans on filling. Myabe he shot all your deer if you are in that area

I haven't killed any. It's bucks only until Sunday. Then I have 2 off days during primitive that I'll be using my crack barrel 20ga. A doe better not come within 60 yards of me during primitive. Then I'll be bow hunting until feb 15. I still have time but I'm getting a little worried too.

Good luck man, hope you get one. I have been fortunate and got 2 8pts this yr (and missed a good one) But i have been where you are. Just stay after them

Would've tried to follow him out and get a pic of his plate and report to LDWF. Hate poachers.

I haven’t shot one but my 6 yr old has killed his first 2. Most fun I’ve had hunting in a long time. Been trying to get him on a buck but when they’re moving chasing does it’s almost impossible for a 6 yr old.

As luck would have it my wife shot the biggest deer I had on camera at my place... her first buck too

Also, that is ballsy as frick to drive off the base without a tagged/reported deer.

I haven't, but have seen a bunch. Really maybe only 1 or 2 shot opportunities. Oh well, maybe I will get lucky the last week or 2, but I maybe chasing ducks.

Guy said he called LDWF and told them he lost his tags, so LDWF replaced the "lost" tags for a small fee. Apparently he was tagging the deer...just not going online or calling in to validate the kill. When he ran out of tags, he said he lost the tags so he could get reprints done.

No deer yet for me this year.
I shot an elk in October so I have passed on a lot of does and small bucks this year on my lease because I have meat in the freezer.
Haven't really gotten a good opportunity at a mature doe since I decided to take one the last few weeks.
Still have a few weeks left to put some more meat on the ground.

Yup this is how he explained it and was damn proud of it. his attitude of it was it was a loop hole in Louisiana law
