<-------Unsuccessful

but I have been the last 3 years as either being drawn or a guest for the Marsh hunt...it is very nice

dont give up, still have the second chance drawing when people who are drawn dont pay, and if nothing else you get another priority point for next year

I am definitely holding out hope for that last minute email.

I won the marsh hunt last year and it was fantastic. They did mention that they would be changing the routine up this year because of the new requirements that guides need to have their captains license. They said there will be no more mud boat rides to the blind with your guide, everyone will be shuttled to the ponds on the party barge and will meet their guide at the blind.

They said they received a special waiver to operate traditionally last year but said that was likely the last year of the mudboats. I am really glad I got to experience it.

I heard they had to cancel all marsh hunts due to the water situation.

I know some guys who hunt the marsh just west of them. Their 2500 acre marsh is levied and was completely bone arse dry.

Cancelled teal hunting.

Very few marshes in that general area have huntable water, including some high end clubs....can't even launch a mud boat much less get anywhere with it.

Pretty tough situation, and no end in sight. I'm hearing of some efforts to pump salt water

I’m almost certain they control the water levels out there from that huge canal which you cross on hwy 82, which is connected to vermillion bay. But that would suck for the lotto hunts this year. Anyone hunt the marsh teal hunt?

Hunted there one time back before state took over. Nothing like it before or since. Just outstanding.

It’s wild down in the marsh. Have never it seen it near this dry. We are doing a lot of grass control right now on our lease while it’s dry.
