Any decent place in Louisiana for a whitetail pay for a day hunt?

Unless you are willing to pay big bucks for Giles, I would head west to Texas...

Texas Hunting Forums/ Guides. Outfitter Forum is a good place to start looking. If sometihng looks good make sure you do your research on the place and they have good reviews. If you don't see anything good start a thread with what you are looking for and you will get offers.

Free range?

Trophy or just hunt?

Doesn't have to be trophy. Free range is fine. Just looking for a decent place to take my son, with hopes that we may get something decent to shoot at. We make a trip annually to Westervelt Lodge in Aliceville Alabama, but I was wanting to take a day trip soon.

If I were you I would look at management hunts on some of the Texas Ranches. You see a lot more deer.

That is looking like the best choice so far. I do appreciate all of the responses.

If I could go back to do it all over again as a kid I think I would have enjoyed one of the doe-only meat hunts more than anything. Plug like 3 or 4 does for a fraction of the price. Lots of the texas outfits run those, might be worth asking about.

Go check out the Facebook group "exotic hunting in texas". Tons of budget whitetail hunts. Just post what you're looking for and the outfitters will contact you.

The budget doe hunt seems to be the way to go for what we are looking for. Thank you all for taking the time to respond
