I'll give u the better deer, even go so far as to say ducks are even, but freshwater is no better up north and we have saltwater, hell we can catch bass specks and reds in the same pond. Where u gonna do that up there

Record for Heaviest 5 fish limit of bass caught in the Classic was caught where again? Not only did it kick red river's arse, but every other big name bass venue in the US, so there's that.

I know of a lake in St Tammany that has a bunch of 10+lb bass. Have seen 3 over 12lbs caught the past 15yrs

This just in......largest crappie was caught in state was landed in Westwego canal. So there's that also.
