When you said you would rather kill a mixed bag than sit and shoot mallards all day, which A) is retarded and B) you can kill all of those birds in abundance in NELA. I ve only been mentioning Mallards, because that is the differenc in NLA nad SLA right now. There are a few pockets in SLA that get mallards late; they are all over NLA early in the year, if you have water.

North Louisiana guys are getting pretty jealous up in here. It's understandable though, we have it made

I think I saw 2 posts about Central LA and zero about the West. They are both horrible. No reason for anyone in their right mind to want to be there.

South La guys are posting pics of frogs, gators and crawfish like they have never left their swamp shanty.

If saltwater fishing is you're main concern then it certainly does. There is a reason why every WMA in the upper half of the state fills slam full of coonasses year in and year out. The hunting is sub-par. Severly.

They're so butthurt because they have to fish with crickets to catch dinner.

And yes Alice, you can kill all those in abundance in SLA from Texas to Mississippi as well.

No doubt. Look at this cop-out:

To me, offshore fishing is gulf fishing, not a specific part of La.

Fits in well with the theme for TD as of late.

The question in the OP asks which part is better for an outdoorsman. Being an outdoorsman involves every type of animal and sport there is to offer in the state. I can agree that NLA has better deer hunting without a doubt, but you can't say it's the best just because of that. The answer here is CLEARLY south Louisiana in terms of having the best opportunity to take advantage of not just a few things like y'all have up there, but EVERYTHING that the state has to offer.

Yeah because a coonass would just eat the fricking cricket

The only the thing that this encompasses is Salt water fauna. Thats it. It all boils down to what you are more interested in:

Holy shite, this is still going.

I am from South Louisiana. You may kill more numbers of birds in the marsh, but quality is much better in NELA. It all comes down to preference. I'll take standing in the woods hunting mallards all day long before sitting in a marsh blind to shoot greys, teal, and spoons.

As far as your comment about white perch. Come on bro, the AVERAGE white perch/sac au lait in NELA is at least twice as big as those in South Louisiana. This is fact. I've caught plenty of both. There is no comparison.
