Hooked a cobia under a popping cork on a trout rod about 2 weeks ago. Fought him for about 20 minutes and he wrapped the leader around his tail right at the boat and I lost him. Actually landed one near elmers beach about 2 years ago.

Can also catch a couple of catfish the night before of u can keep them alive. Cut the barbs off……. Trust me if a cobia is near is gonna eat. For some reason they will mull catfish!

I do it all the time!

this ^^^^^^^

we caught plenty in 30-40ft water out of empire when the blue water was in close to shore, but for the most part you gotta go on a long ride to blue water to find them

I saw the enforcer was out and back in Belle pass in about 5 hours a few weeks ago. I thought that was weird. Guess it's having some problems.
