Looking to purchase 3 new salt water set ups to replace my aging work horses (15 years old now).

Should I look online? Or find a shop out here in Lake Charles? (Just moved out here for work)

Will probably end up dropping some $$$ on a few other items as well...

New cast net, utility knife, tackle box, probably a few decent rods to replace tipped rods for spare set ups, rod socks/sleeves, etc.

Appreciate any advice!

Personally I just order all of my stuff from Waterloo's website, and any items they don't have I pick up at Lake Charles Tackle.

I use tackle warehouse or omnia fishing websites for most of my gear needs. I also never buy in store unless I need it that day.

You may be able to catch the back end of Black Friday sales….Tackle Warehouse had the entire site 20% off.

Landbigfish gets the majority of my orders now, mainly due to having very frequent 20% off sales and not charging sales tax like some other sites do.
Tackle warehouse has a much larger selection, but runs sales much less frequently. Never had a problem with them.

Out of Saltwater gear? No way you have reels that last that long.

Sportsmansoutfitters.com out of Alabama.
Usually 2 to 3 days shipping to Louisiana which is quick.
They beat a lot of prices in Falcon rods, Lews, and Diawa products.

Scheels has been good, but I still like to go into Puglias when I'm on the southshore.

I like Puglias here in the New Orleans area but by far the best tackle store I have ever been to is Fishing Tackle Unlimited in Houston. They have several locations. They even make their own rods in house in addition to a huge selection of big and small manufacturers.

SixGill Fishing for my rods and reels, they have some saltwater stuff too. They're currently running a BOGO sale for their rods and reels and the prices are reasonable.
