Wanted to head to the trestles this weekend but I have a feeling all of Louisiana will be thinking the same thing. I’m thinking about hitting up hwy 11 and some of the lower profile spots in lake p.

I’m afraid everywhere is gonna be wild considering the conditions. I did well in bievenue yesterday but I can’t stand being around that many boats.
Yalls secret hole wouldn’t happen to be in the MRGO? Smoked the trout there the weekend before thanksgiving

Not in MRGO for me. Heard about people catching on the banks there. It's all a crapshoot anyway. If it doesn't pan out I'll likely head farther into the Biloxi Marsh.

Try the flat adjacent to the south side the rock dam if you get a chance
Should be plenty of fish before you even reach stump

On the south side of the rock damn and NE side of the MRGO. Should have some right there with the warming temps tomorrow.

Good advice. I'm a bit late here but they did move in three weeks ago and once you find them have numbers. Water is dropping today so find constricted bayous with points, drains and moving water.

I don't fish on weekends and these spots below are well know. Engineers Canal at low water can really be good, they'll stack up there. Drift, follow the wind and tide and you'll find them. They've been mostly on top early mornings, bottom later. Bayou Alphonse can also be productive. Bite goes later into the morning now as well.

Tight lines.

And fill the boat bouncing a limbo slice matrix shad off the bottom.

Windy here today on the Texas-Oklahoma border so I will go tomorrow.

The plan will be deadsticking flukes for big stripers if the conditions are right. If not, then I'll use slabs for some stripers then try for some big blues.

Fished Delacroix Friday. Couldn’t find trout. Ended up with some drum and sheepshead fishing dead shrimp on the bottom.

Ended up fishing lake p today with Jon miller. We caught a couple at the first spot we pulled up to on the trestles but that only intrigued us enough to go look for bigger fish. Found some on dock poles around east lake p. Only ended up with around 20 but all but 2 were over 16”. Caught one 21.5”

Fished BSL today and i have never seen fog like i did today! Unreal we fished this morning close to the camp and the fog was still limiting visibility at 4 PM. Wound up with a few reds and 12 trout 16” or better.
