I'll probably get stuck working to cover for all of the sudden covid exposures that are going to pop up

Overgrown fence row between two hayfields in southern Pointe Coupee parish. The deer have been ramsacking the rice bran for two weeks now under a big pecan tree in the fence row. I checked the white oaks next to a cutover this past weekend and nothing dropping yet. Once they start falling I’ll move there.

Yup. I've spent years hinge cutting, not rifle hunting, etc on the property (it's actually 15 acres) so that the deer leave the neighbor's place to come to mine. I don't even think about hunting it if the wind isn't right. He got a little upset over the two I plugged there last year. He doesn't own the deer. All he can control is access.

He's not much of a hunter, anyway. He just sits on a couple of food plots.

ETA: I have a couple years left before my sawtooths start dropping. It'll get really good, then.

nope, my neighbor isn't a prick. He knows he doesn't own the deer. He doesn't think he is more entitled to them because he has access to more land than me.

Sitting in one of the only 25-30 oak trees that survived ida on our lease. Plus side of the storm is deer should concentrate on what oaks we have left!!
Got my plots in yesterday and anxiously watching radar as the rain is about to hit them should be a good season!!!

Look at this guy. So now because someone has been watching a deer for years it's bad if a neighbor kills it? GTF out of here. If you want to keep them on your land buy more land.

What does he expect me to do? Let the deer walk because it spends more time off the land I'm hunting? I guess he's salty because his neighbor kills more deer than he does.
