Buying my first Wy antelope point this year.

Up here in Wyoming, Antelope are quite common. I'm interested to know what the appeal to shooting a speed goat is for you? I don't like the meat compared to other game animals either.

OP: I have one Elk hunt on the books in Wyoming. It will be a meat hunt on private land. Maybe we can talk the owner into a Bull, but he really only likes everyone filling the freezer with cows.

I would think it would be similar to us in the south having wild hogs everywhere. I think the pronghorn is a cool as hell looking animal and personally I thought the meat was the best wild game I've ever eaten.

Took my daughter and niece last year to Wyoming antelope hunting. Used my daughters points for that trip. Daughter got one. Had a great time and learned a lot. Pretty pumped to go back. Unit last year was 80% private land, unit I am going to this year is 80% public. Lot fewer tags. Guys online say I should see 40 to 50 bucks a day to look over. Been reading and watching videos about judging horn size. I also thought the meat was excellent.

Area 3 is home base

Hunt just outside Ruston the week after thanksgiving, and maringouin the second week of January.

Put in for the Tensas lottery so we will see how that works

Illinois Whitetail

Oklahoma Whitetail (hopefully, our place is currently for sale but seems over priced so fingerscrossed)

I have a couple more places in mind but they will be determined later

If that’s your only plan, you are in for a long season.

South Texas whitetail in October. Doubtful that we even deer hunt our place in the MS Delta. We still have 5 to 7 feet of water on our entire place. We are wondering what type of population we will have after this flood event.

Hank, what unit did you draw in WYO?

Also, we fished the Miracle Mile the past two seasons. World class fly fishing.

Deer in MS certain and probably a duck hunt or two in NELA/ARK and a couple in SWLA. After that its up in the air due to work. Possible ND pheasant and duck trip, deer and duck trip to SEOK and maybe a Wisconsin deer trip.

Getting new property in Liberty,MS ready for deer season. About to dig a 2 acre pond. Hoping some woodies show up later in the year for some wing shooting fun.
