What's the most useful thing you've bought at Harbor Freight?

About a dozen of these clamps are mine.

I also have a few furniture blankets, moving dollies, and a couple of lanterns that have been great considering the cost.

Edit: My rolling US General tool chest is great. shite, I'm starting to realize that everything I own comes from Harbor Freight and Tractor Supply.

ETA: has anybody had any luck with their small welders?

have come in very handy

jumbo socket set, no way I could justify the cost of a name brand for as little as I use it, but they have come in handy

floor jack and jack stands... only use 2x/year

trailer lights 20% coupon makes them a steal

the little plastic containers of bolts, screws, nuts, electrical connections, wire nuts, etc etc

Toolboxes and impact sockets. I'm a mechanic at a chemical plant and use them everyday.

Their Doyle brand pliers are legit as well. Also have 2 floorjacks from HF. All work perfectly

I've been plotting on one of their floor jacks for a while.

Pack of zip ties to last a lifetime.

Also have been interested in a floor jack...

A buddy of mine has a Predator inverter generator that has been flawless.

I bought a framing nailer from there about 10-12 years ago that still punches them. I think I paid $50 for it, and it's outlived a couple compressors

Blind hole bearing puller and H frame 20ton press, close race.

The worst, another close tie. Slide hammer, broke every attachment in the kit on first use. Trailer jack that flips, literally fell apart on the first trip out.

I wanted to fool around with some lathe work. Duck calls, pens, some hand turned ornaments for the Christmas tree and other random things.

I bought their table top lathe rather than a big name brand in case it turned into a failed hobby.

No complaints here.

Ima Harbor Freight junkie...Its been years since I bought anything at HF that was total junk....most of their stuff is more than good enough for a hobbyist...might not hold up to 10 hours a day of continuous use as a professional but a couple of uses a year almost everything is sufficient.

I think the most useful thing I've bought is the 6 Bit Impact Screwdriver. $8.97 I think....its a manual impact driver and will get the most stubborn of screw or bolt out. Better than a pneumatic or electric when needed...I have all 3 and use all 3 but for screws the manual is the way to go because you have better control and will be less likely to strip the head. It works great...I don't even think about doing brakes without knowing where this thing is.

I have found, though, that HF prices are high..especially if you ship to the house. I can almost always get the same item, maybe a different color but made by the same Chinese company, on Amazon or somewhere for less money with free shipping. It also keeps me from buying $100 worth of stuff on impulse when in the store....as a junkie I have to self regulate!

I bought a Bauer (?) deep cut portaband saw and it is as good as a Milwaukee....weighs a ton but works like a champ and I think I paid about $80 for it instead of $300! It will cut 4 inch thick wall in one pass as good as the Milwaukee. Again, may not do so 10 hours a day 5 days a week for 10 years but I ain't planning on running a helluva lot of 4 inch galvanized conduit at the house....
