were they the eurasian collared doves....the ones with the black ring around the neck?

if so those are legal to shoot anytime over here and i'm pretty sure over there too. if they were mourning doves, then no worrys cause the feds do not prosecute kids over migratory game violations.

anyway nice job for the little fellow.

That's bullshite and you are a sorry excuse for a damn parent. This is what's wrong with kids now a days. When I was a kid this kind of shut would have never happened. We understood authority and RULES and the importance of both. We also understood that when you were frickng up you better have someone to look out for said authority. Yes sir, when I was a kid you would have NEVER caught me doing that. My cousin would let me know you were comin looooong before you got there!

Good opportunity to explain laws and why we abide by them.

Full deal. Consequences and all.

Then cook the doves because that's what you do with kills and get rid of them.

I know I'm late to this, but that is awesome. You did the right thing by talking to him. My boy is three and I let him tote around an empty red rider. I am teaching him gun safety. He is doing well with it so far. He only points it at the dogs without collars!

Infidel, you're right. My brother and I were always on the lookout for each other. My dad would have kicked our arse for a lot more stuff, IF he would have caught us.
